- Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Simon Birch. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Thank you. -- Siobhan Hansa 21:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi! I had no intention of uploading anything with advertising. I now realise that there were some very anoying pop-up windows which I had not realised that my provider was still adding to some of my pages. I have contacted my provider and have now removed all of these. I didn't want them either, but didn't see them, as I usually block pop-up windows. Sorry for any inconvenience! The only reason that I added a personal link was because my father took a very small part in the film "Simon Birch" and has not received any credits anywhere for this - which I felt was a pity. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Cornelius L. Reid, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://web.mac.com/donnasreid/www.corneliuslreid.com/Biography.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:49, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I put together the page on Cornelius L. Reid today. The information which I used was provided to me by Donna Reid, wife of the late Cornelius L. Reid. She knows that I am putting together a page on Cornelius L. Reid and is in complete agreement that I use the texts, some of which are also on her own web pages.
Please do not erase this article! Many thanks, Edmund Brownless Ebrownless (talk) 19:07, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I have written to Donna Reid and will get her written permission very soon to use any of the texts which I have used! Thanks! Ebrownless (talk) 19:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Ebrownless. Thank you for contributing an article on the composer Claus Kühnl; Thisn article is a direct translation from an article in the german Wikipedia, please make absolutely sure that you add the attribution in the correct manner to the article talk page. Thanks. --Kudpung (talk) 12:36, 19 September 2010 (UTC) PS: you'll find the instructions here: Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate
- Hi Kudpung. Yes, I had intended to do that. Most of the original German text was written by a student of CK in Frankfurt and I will be getting the name and title of the work shortly and adding it to both the German and English articles, as our main source.--Ebrownless (talk) 12:59, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Ebrownless, Many thanks for your corrections which I appreciated. If you like please have a look at the articles Alois Kottmann of Hoch Conservatory and Alois Kottmann Award. Due to the international award both are meant as basic content for translations in other languages. Thanks in advance. My kindest regards ArcCan (talk) 19:27, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi ArcCan, yes, I'll look at them soon...thanks for doing the articles on Klein and Kottmann...their bios were needed here at Wiki...we hope to do a birthday concert for Klein next year! Do you know them both too? --Ebrownless (talk) 07:32, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there, The planned concert for Klein is a very fine idea. – I didn't know Klein personally but am in personal contact with Kottmann. My granddad was a classical singer and professor at music universities in Mainz and Frankfurt, my grandmom was a classical singer, my dad had attended Hoch Con and was a jazz musician. A friend of my granddad which I also knew personally was chant lecturer at the Con between 1959 and the 1970s. – On Oct 30 the Kottmann award will be handed over in city hall by Frankfurt mayor Roth where I will try to get documentary pictures for the award article if the official protocol of the city allows. – By the way, it might be of interest for you that I also did these new articles Herbie Hess (former student of the Con) and Ernst Gerold Schramm (classical singer). Cheers ArcCan (talk) 21:16, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Primefac (talk) 18:27, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Hello primefac, thank you for your message. Richard Hey Lloyd was an internationally renowned composer. His works have been published by many of the well-known international publishers of music. Many of them have been recorded on CDs for the main recording labels. I put the article on Richard Lloyd together many years ago based mostly on information given to me by the composer himself. I knew him since 1966 and since to wrote this article no information in it has ever been challenged. Indeed, the article has been quoted and reused many times. There are references to it all over the internet. The article is important as he was too old to ever have had his own internet site. I will do my best to add sources etc. for the information in the article. This won't be easy as you have already erased so much of the article recently. There are very many obituaries now for Richard Lloyd - not, as you state, just three. If the article will be erased there will be a huge outrage. Please be patient! Many thanks!

Disambiguation link notification for August 15
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited St. Patrick's Church (Halifax, Nova Scotia), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tipperary and Lunenburg. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:56, 15 August 2024 (UTC)

Joseph Purcell
[edit]Hi,
Your article on Joseph Purcell has a strong chance of being deleted. Every source is from a website dedicated to him. Those will be seen as primary sources and the article will likely be put up for deletion because of it.
Try to see if there's any articles about him from mainstream media outlets, books that aren't affiliated with him or other websites that are not affiliated with him. If this article gets deleted too many times, they will eventually vote to SALT it so it can't be made again.
Thanks KatoKungLee (talk) 21:41, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. I will revise all the references and also do more research to find some more sources. It will take a couple of days. It is not easy - he is such a famous artist, but there aren't many websites about him. I will be looking for books etc. Ebrownless (talk) 15:25, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
