Fight teams

I was wondering if you could take a look at my editions to the Chute Boxe Academy article and give me a short critique. First, to see if it no longer qualifies as a stub. Second, that I have included enough references. And third to see whether or not it is of better quality than my Pitfight Team article, which still needs heavy revision. Thanks. Thanks for finding a free image for the article. — Carl (CBM · talk) 02:24, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I saw your edit comment at UFC 74 about the fighter salaries not being copyright-able. I agree, but the format was exactly the same as presented in the MMAweekly article, hyphens, spacing, brackets, all-caps lines, etc. Thanks for doing the work to add the information in a fresh format. Thank you

Hopefully it will cool off soon. The irony is that in my personal view, Michael Bisping shouldn't have been given the decision, but personal views don't have a place here.

Thank you. Much appreciated. AnnieHall 05:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

Hi, I have a question about your signature. I noticed you somehow got the date/timestamp to appear inside the box. When I wrote my signature I was trying to get it to do the same thing, but couldn't figure it out. Could I get a look at your signature code, or could you just describe to me what you did? Thanks :) 16:22, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I see, I didn't think of subst'ing as a workaround to that "no transclusion in signatures" rules. Thanks, that actually helps a lot :) 16:37, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Just did that, thanks. Check me out -->

Re: Thanks

You're more than welcome! I've been trying to do more work cleaning up vandalism lately. jj137Talk 02:00, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of current world boxing champions

Sorry bothering you, but what happened to the flags? (They disappeared.)Is this vandalism again? Claudevsq 05:46, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Hey East. Yeah I've got a few weeks at home so I'm back into editing again. How about we finally get List of The Wire episodes up to featured list status? I've been working on the wire wikia (http://thewire.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) which was bizaarely started by Jimbo Wales himself a few years ago. I could use some help with code for the infoboxes - seems broken at the moment. What else do you like, TV wise? I'd love to see The Sopranos get featured but its a real mess at the moment.--Opark 77 15:39, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know much about martial arts, rap or boxing so I guess it would have to be TV.--Opark 77 15:43, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boxing

You see that right, I wanted to write all the names like boxrec does... but OK, if they're not all like they should be... sorry! Claudevsq 05:25, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Especially with Eastern European boxers, it isn't that easy. I talk about Drews (or Drviš). Look at Felix Sturm, it's not his birth name, too, but we list him like that because it's simplier to understand. Or Wladimir instead of Vladimirovich, like it should be... Think about it, and feel free to revert... ;-)) Cheers, Claudevsq 14:35, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, for Perez, I wrote Perez because of Luis Alberto Pérez(-Rionda) already existing, the Cuban Olympian... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claudevsq (talkcontribs) 14:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That guy

That was fast work, I was about to explain the situation but you already figured it out, this user appears to have some sort of grudge aganist Cotto and has been adding this libelous material over and over again ignoring all warnings, I did use the "block last IP" option during his block so the address should be blocked also, in any case if the edits persist I will indef block both of them as vandalism only accounts, cheers. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:50, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Allegations

Very nice work on the citation for the lead. I did not know they could be condensed in that manner. Thank you. --SevenOfDiamonds 12:34, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bullshido.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bullshido.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chris Btalk 14:51, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Barnstar

Hey, thanks! I'm not entirely sure where I ignored the rule though... It wasn't today; half my reverts are of vandalism. But thanks! Gscshoyru 01:43, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have been working with this page in hopes of getting it to GA, however the article is in serious need of cleanup and my time here lately has been very limited, I came here to ask you if you know someone within the boxing project that could lend me a hand with this work? thanks for your time. - Caribbean~H.Q. 00:56, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will probably ask Maya Levy for some help, she appears to be active quite often and Claudevsq must have his hands full with the list of champions, thanks for your help. - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:06, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Shogun

East718 is correct, at least as to the Liddell/Fedor pages. Chuck hasn't been on my watchlist, but I think I should add him.Tuckdogg 23:52, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Holy friggin' crap, dude! Suddenly my watchlist doesn't look so insanely large!Tuckdogg 01:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pacquiao-Barrera

So, for the Pac-Barrera match in 10 days, I still don't know if this will be for the Ring's champion title. They didn't answer my mail. Could it be, that, when Pac wins, he stays number one, but if Barrera wins over the number one-rated Pac, he could be the Ring's champ? Do you know anything about this, by chance? Cheers, Claudevsq 13:21, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jermain Taylor

Concerning the list of current world boxing champions, if Taylor wins on Saturday, shall we remove him from the list as his manager stated sometime ago that he would definitively move up to supermiddleweight, or shall we wait for another official statement after the match...? Greetings, Claudevsq 13:35, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks alot for your answers! Greetings, Claudevsq 13:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pavlik

Of course, he is, because he beat the former Ring champion Jermain Taylor in a WBC/WBO title clash. As Jermain was holding the Ring's champion title in middleweight, Pavlik now is. I quote: "There are currently only two ways that a boxer can win The Ring's title: defeat the reigning champion;..." Claudevsq 17:24, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You may well know that the Ring Magazine updates its online lists only once each Tuesday. When Calderón defeated Cazares, we put him into our list immediately as well. This is no speculation, Pavlik beat Taylor, who was the Ring's champion, so now Pavlik is, and therefore, he should be in our list too. But if you prefer to wait another two days to have a fact confirmed (remember my quote)... Cheers! Claudevsq 17:41, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, no edit war here, I can wait too... but if we would, for example, wait for the official IBF website to publish their actual champions, then goodnight to our list! ;-) Claudevsq 17:46, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
