  • You should reference the Brown–Peterson task, which is one of the first, or at least most widely known, tasks to use mental arithmetic. It was used as a distracter task.
  • Looking at your new section, I'm not sure how it satisfies the point criteria. Be sure you document all the links, references, improvements, etc. that you added.
  • Look into: Fleishman, E.A., Quaintance, M.K. and Broedling, L.A. (1984). Taxonomies of Human Performance: The description of human tasks. Orlando, FL: Academic Press, Inc. (http://www.iosolutions.org/Research_and_Resources/Agency_Resources/White_Papers/Fleishman_s_Taxonomy.aspx), who identified both 'number facility' and 'mathematical reasoning' as important categories of human cognitive skill.
