Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Eaglefan1988! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Todd Wiltshire - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 04:42, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Eddie Castro (speedway rider) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. 2019 Ice Speedway of Nations moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 2019 Ice Speedway of Nations, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 19:33, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Danish Speedway League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TBD. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedway Leagues

[edit]

Please do not rename the SGB Premiership, it is the official name of the tournament and has hundreds of links to it. Thanks Pyeongchang (talk) 16:40, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Total respect for the volume of your contributions, but I would recommend revisiting this decision. Check current regulations, British Speedway website, etc. 'SGB' was removed from everything at the end of 2019 and re-branded to 'British Speedway'. Eaglefan1988 (talk) 17:21, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most newspapers and even the 'FIM' still refer to it as SGB. There are no official sources that use the exact term 'British Speedway Championship League'. British Speedway currently call them the Sports Insure Premiership and the Cab Direct Championship, which does not help because trying to avoid sponsors in titles is preferred. I would suggest that the talk page is the best place to make suggestions regarding renaming, which may in turn create a consesus from other speedway users. Thanks Pyeongchang (talk) 17:40, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Official British Speedway regulations and press releases state 'British Speedway Championship (+League for League competition)' or 'British Speedway Premiership (+League for League competition)', sale of naming rights means 'Sports Insure' or 'Cab Direct' replace British Speedway in short form: ref https://britishspeedway.co.uk/cab-direct-championship/cab-direct-to-sponsor-championship/.
But nowhere is SGB mentioned either on ACU, official British Speedway site (which replaced the SGB site) or regulations. And the FIM page refers to GB as a country but not SGB as a title. Eaglefan1988 (talk) 13:20, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Taking someone else's contributions as your own

[edit]

Your claim is to have authored FIM Women's Motorcycling World Championship - you attest to that when publishing (pressing the "Publish changes" button) "By publishing changes, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 4.0 License and the GFDL.".

This is not your work, so you cannot make such a claim. Please read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. If you need any more help, please post at the Teahouse.

Additionally, you have pasted-in the original ref-dates I placed on to 2024 Superbike World Championship. Furthermore, WP:CRYSTAL and WP:Permastub spring to mind. There is simply no need for a separate article at this premature stage. 82.13.47.210 (talk) 01:49, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eaglefan1988, please do not leave the template broken as you did with your last edit. Until someone codes a new script we will have to settle for the current template. Many thanks Pyeongchang (talk) 17:37, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, FIM Long Track Youth World Cup, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected to Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 01:47, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
