Why did you delete the page on James Sabow?

What was your justification for deleting the page on Colonel James Sabow Ethyr (talk) 23:52, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

  • The entry entitled "Colonel James Sabow" (created in February 2007); had one edit - a redirect to "James E. Sabow", which was deleted in February 2007 based on this AFD. The redirect page was deleted after the target article was deleted. — ERcheck (talk) 22:04, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

The article Eric H. du Plessis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

5 year old article. Decently written, but can only find a tiny number of mentions that say he's an associate professor. Has been an unreferenced BLP for 5 years.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. tedder (talk) 01:41, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello ERcheck! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 0 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Re: BGen Vicente T. (Ben) Blaz

ERcheck, the Marine Corps website that you used as one of your sources for your Ben Blaz Wikipedia page misspelled his given first name as "Vincente" instead of "Vicente." (All of the Guam sources I have found spell it "Vicente," which is the proper Spanish spelling). I have corrected this typo in the body of the Wikipedia page, but don't know how to go about changing the name in the title itself. Could you please correct that typo so that it reads "Vicente T. Blaz"? Thank you. AuH2ORepublican (talk) 01:03, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Henry Louis Larsen

Hi I notice the article on Henry Louis Larsen in your sandbox. I was wondering if you could release if it is finished? Some of the editors are working on the Guam territorial Governors and he was a military Gogernor of Guam during WW II. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 21:49, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

  • I have been looking for more reliable sources to complete the article. The ArlingtonCemetery.net is not a government site, so is not public domain. I would like to have more sources to complete the article. I've done a recent search and many of the sources I find are coming from Wikipedia or individuals on sites honoring the military. Do you have some reliable sources from which I can finish out the article? For instance, is there more information about his childhood? USMC sources describing his career and honors? — ERcheck (talk) 13:52, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
