Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Hello, I ask you for unblocking my account for the following reasons: I would like to contribute to wikipedia with an encyclopedic term rather than for commercial purposes. I noticed that the article that I created, "Energy Efficient Buildings Platform", was deleted for being recognized as an advertisement. However, note that it is no commercial entity, but a non-profit activity funded from public sources, which brings Czech scientists together and assists them in participation in common research in the EU. In addition, it has strong ties to Horizon 2020, European Research Area and other European programmes and it acts as a unified contact place for researchers, involved in energy efficient buildings sector. All of this makes it an important term for orientation on the European level for Czech researchers. EEB-CZ (talk) 14:24, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your proposed username is acceptable, however I am unconvinced that you should be editing articles where you have a significant conflict of interest. PhilKnight (talk) 10:51, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Advertising and promotion is not only done by for-profit organisations. Charities and religious organisations also promote and advertise. So does the 10 year old who posts a link and says 'visit my site at...'. And so does the person who is quite sure that Philip II of Spain really wrote Shakespeare's plays (while Anne Hathaway wrote the poetry). Peridon (talk) 15:40, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, I see what you mean. Therefore, I am willing and ready to rewrite the article I posted before, so that it matches the wikipedia rules. In the article that I created the first time ("Energy Efficient Buildings Platform") I used some information from the organization's official website, because it was my first contribution to wikipedia and I did not realize that it was incompatible with its rules. I can assure you that there will be no advertising intentions from my side. The new article will be an encyclopedic term, useful for orientation in the energy efficient buildings area. EEB-CZ (talk) 08:55, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You might be missing the point: when you came to Wikipedia, you agreed not to write about areas where you have conflict of interest. I'm willing to unblock, but not to create a "live" article about this organization the panda ₯’ 00:09, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
