Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Draft:EAST COBBER, and I noticed that your username, "EASTCOBBER", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 01:24, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.
If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Orange Mike | Talk 16:46, 6 August 2016 (UTC)Trying to Create A Page
[edit]Hi,
I am a social media intern for the EAST COBBER, and I am frustrated with trying to create my article because the guidelines have not been made clear. I am writing the article because as well as being an intern, I have been a resident of East Cobb for my entire life, and thought that it would be helpful to put my favorite local magazine on Wikipedia. I understand the problem with my username (EASTCOBBER); I did not make a distinction in the username between the business "EAST COBBER" and the term "East Cobber" as meaning someone who resides in East Cobb (which is what I meant). I am asking to change that username, as shown below in the unblock request.
However, I do not understand the notability problem that my article has been rejected for multiple times. The EAST COBBER is a small, hyper-local magazine very similar to Brooklyn Magazine or Cleveland Magazine, both of which have Wikipedia pages. Both of these magazines have references similar to those I have provided for the EAST COBBER, but for some reason the reviewers I have gotten have told me that my references do not show the EAST COBBER to be notable enough. Can you please tell me exactly what kind of references I need in order to have the EAST COBBER article published?
