Sorry, I didn't look through the talk page properly. Then again, there is no Bulgarian minority in Albania — only a "Bulgarian" minority based on the whole "Macedonians are Bulgarians" thing. --AimLook 06:45, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just one question

[edit]

How do you know Foreigner from the east was Mr Neutron when your first edit is more than a month after Foreigner changed his username? I'm awaiting your answer. --Laveol T 15:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think there's "higher science" in this?? I clicked on Mr. Neutron's username in Tuga za Jug article talk page and it led me to ForeignerFromTheEast. I wanted to know who is the person behind the "wise" constatation that Struga Poetry Evenings are "irrelevant" Dzole 14:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incidents

[edit]

I'll post you a few things here so not to disturb the noticeboard. Keep in mind I'm taking your allegations as something pretty close to a personal attack. Have you really read what meatpuppeteering is all about? The fact that there is a valid point for a lot of issues and a lot of editors stick to it and only because it does not suit your personal views does not mean this is meatpuppeting. Have you ever considered that it might not be propaganda? That those things are viewed in this way in Bulgaria (and in the Western world for some of the issues)? Have you considered reviewing your own record before throwing sticks and stones at other editors might or might have not contributed. And moreover putting us all in some sort of a Black list despite are contributions and views differ a lot, does not speak well of you. Now I see you're just labeling people for your own reason not of some general interest or trying to contribute with something.

  • Now with every single case - Grief of the South was blocked cause of the different usernames he used - why are you complaining of him? Seriously? Or you're just trying to drown as many as you can, ey?
  • The dubious sources and nationalist links are clear not a case for incidents.
  • Arbitrary Deletions - what you've wrote is, strange at the very least. It was another editor who had nothing to do with the whole Bul-RoM case that advocated its deletion the whole time. And by the way the arguments for deletion were valid.
  • The other things - I have to paste your whole text here and comment it word by word. "Removed after I contested "? And about the reverting on Mala Prespa and Golo Bardo - you were once reverted by the Admin in question, but I didn't see his name on the list. Oh, and it is certainly not forbidden to patrol articles against vandalism. I'll stop for now. --Laveol T 14:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  1. dont preach about rules that you are breaking yourself (as a group).
  2. my own record doesnt matter, Im not the subject of this recent issue. However if I did anything wrong the admins have their prerogatives to block me if needed.
  3. Arbitrary deletions- I will not repeat everyhting is documented. And for a 100th time: I still got no answer why Foreigner started to insist on deletion AFTER I contested the unsourced pro-Bulgarian POV and after I brought some (not perfect, but at least tangential) source on the subject. Before that the article was good enough for him to remain online despite being just a lyrics stub. he or any of you have never bothered to provide any source whatsoever but he didnt forget to add that "it is a Bulgarian song". Thats called double standard.
  4. Blatant pushing of "sources" such as personal nationalist websites (Vasil Karloukovski's and "Bash Bugarash's" kroraina.com and Promacedonia.org, private blogs [1] etc.) IS an incident. Its damaging Wikipedia's credibility from within.
  5. Arbitrary revertions with fake edit summaries: there are many examples, just one: The article Kiro Gligorov contains links that lead to the OFFICIAL SITE OF VMRO-BND[2][3][4]. The party publicized some (poorly scanned) documents claiming that Kiro Gligorov declared Bulgarian ethnicity. I didnt want to remove that claim from the article, but I tried to clarify in few words where such claim originate from in the main text, but Im being constantly reverted by Foreigner without valid reason. Thats called vandalizm.
  6. I dont have a problem with inclusion of the official Bulgarian POV whenever it is really applicable, properly sourced and properly clarified. But putting "Bulgaria" in every possible article is not a constructive behaviour. --Dzole 18:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think its good that you blocked him, but Im absolutely sure that he and his group will continue with the same behaviour after the block expires, as it was already happening many times before (see their contribs and all). Its not my personal dispute with them that matters, but they represent a general problem on Wikipedia and should be treated adequately once and for all. Regarding my block I dont object at all, however as an admin I ask you to take care for the articles they mess with --Dzole 19:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
btw in my opinion, seems that the most likely scenario in the following days will be: they will refrain from activity for a while, until things cool down a little bit, and they'll start with the same behaviour all over again. --Dzole 19:51, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly add "| state=collapsed" to the Laureates template

[edit]

Hello,

The template http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Template:Svplaureats takes up a very large amount of space on any page where it appears. May I urge you to add the following line to the template

| state = collapsed

so that the first three lines of the template look like this:

{{ navbox
| state = collapsed
| name = Svplaureats

This will cause the template to appear in one line on other pages, but the "show" button will expand the template to its full size so that anyone can view all the information.

Please note that the template for "Nobel Prizes in Literature" (for example, on the page Pablo Neruda) starts "collapsed" in this way. On the Pablo Neruda page, the Nobel Prize takes a small amount of space, but the Struga Golden Wreath takes six or seven times as much space. Perhaps the Struga wreath and the Nobel Prize are more or less equally important, but the navigation box makes it look as if the Struga wreath is six or seven times MORE important than the Nobel Prize.

I hope you will agree to this change, because it would be very courteous to the editors of other pages, and would continue to make all existing information available.

I also think that this information may be more suitable to a Category than a navigation box, but a "collapsed" template would be almost as courteous to other authors.

Thank you. Macspaunday (talk) 16:55, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Also, in English, the correct spelling is "Laureates") Macspaunday (talk) 16:57, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Following a suggestion the Template talk page, I've added the following line to the template so that individual pages can expand or collapse it.
| {{#if:{{{state}}}|state = {{{state|}}}}}
The template will display normally unless a "state = collapsed" appears on an individual page. I hope you will approve of this change, which will make the template a much better citizen of Wikipedia. Thank you. Macspaunday (talk) 21:38, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please also look at this page: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Tomas_Tranströmer where you will see two template, one for the Recipients of the Nordic Council Prize, and one for the Golden Wreath. The Nordic Prize navigation box starts in the small form, which is the courteous way to do it. Please change your template so that it starts "collapsed" in the same way that the Nordic Prize template appears. Thank you. Macspaunday (talk) 02:46, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Macedonian hip hop

[edit]

I've got to say, you did a great job on the article, but one thing; it concentrates more on hip hop artists rather than Macedonian hip hop itself. Individual hip-hop artist/band pages should not be included in external links either. Perhaps, create articles for individual artists and simplify the Macedonian hip hop article just a little. Yugoslav Rock

[edit]

Pozdrav, Dzole!

Puno pozdarava, i ako imaš još neku sugestiju ili primedbu, javi se.--ostalocutanje —Preceding comment was added at 12:45, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Badmingtons_reunion_concert_poster_2007.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 09:01, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Idoli

[edit]

Pozdrav,

Well that SR Croatia is a predecessor of modern Croatia and that is appropriate by any account. The majority of Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest is POV so your feeling that I have done something inappropriate is just your feeling. If you are that much keen in using the right titles then I will follow suit. Then I ask of you not to remove constituent republics because the socialist republic of SFRY were states with constitutions, governments and different legal systems not to mention symbols and other minute stuff. Socialist republics of the former SFRY had not only formal (de jure) sovereignity but also the real (de facto) jurisdictions. If you insist on using SR prefixes then SAP's were provinces (not regions).

Thus republics first because there were lots of TV centres in Yugoslavia, not just the eight mentioned.

FRY did not need to be recognized by the international community to participate in the ESC, the prequisites are clear, look Kosovo in the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster needs to be a member of EBU, due to complete uncompetence by EBU (allowing FRY to compete under the right of JRT to compete) we have that unique sittuation which I solved by creating Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest. Subsequently that article was merged by force of Grk1011, Greekboy and Chewch to Yugoslavia in the ESC despite the fact that it would be a "lesser evil" to merge with Serbia and Montenegro in the ESC.

I realize that FRY in ESC is a complex matter and that is not a black and white picture, but you have far more unconstructive editors in those who merged FRY with SFRY. I opposed that move.

Imbris (talk) 00:17, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have tried and will try to fix errors that Grk1011, Greekboy, Chwech and others made. SFRY in ESC as the title is not good Yugoslavia in the ESC should remain. I belive that those three users deliberately post data based on dubious sources. Also I belive that Grk1011 is against FRY in the ESC solemnly because it would be short and it would be inserted in the template (Eurosong countries or simmilar name). This is why I have supported that FRY in the ESC should be merged with Serbia and Montenegro in the ESC. I have tryed to point out to Grk1011 that "official" eurosong website is made by IT specialists and not some journalist or God forbid a music historian. All of those pages have disclaimers. I have tryed to point out to Grk1011 that on this Wikipedia Olympics and EURO, UEFA portals do not use materials from "official" websites of those organizations when they see a mistake in those sources. FRY could be mentioned in the Yugoslavia in the ESC article but only mentioned - and the bulk of the article could be in the Serbia and Montenegro in the ESC article.

Also why do you insist on using constituent country instead official names, RTV centres were in the domain of the republics and not independent.

Imbris (talk) 23:57, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grk1011's view

[edit]

I feel like I need to explain. OK, the users listed above and I do not deny that SFRY and FRY were different countries. There is one article because only "Yugoslavia" participated in the contest. That name was used to refer to all entries from 1961 to 1992, whether Imbris or the political situation of the time supports it or not. Since this is the Eurovision Song Contest, the article needs to be written in terms of Eurovision. If there were two articles then that would be false, they didn't announce "Next up SFR Yugoslavia", it was just plain "Yugoslavia". The name SFRY never participated; it used the name "Yugoslavia" which was then taken by FRY in 1992. The article is named for the title/name that participated, that is also why we have an article FYR Macedonia when one could argue that its name is Macedonia (the name Macedonia does not compete, FYR Macedonia does). So, the article documents countries using the name Yugoslavia and I thought the sections dedicated to each political entity using the name and the addition of the FRY flag to the infobox solved all of the problems. Also, to address Imbris idea to merge with Serbia and Montenegro, that would be wrong because the name Yugoslavia competed in 1992, not Serbia and Montenegro. The "one source" problem which Imbris refers to is the official website of the contest, which I don't see how you can say is POV, its their contest for which the article is written for and is supposed to represent the views of. He says that some computer technician wrote the page and that it is not the official view of the EBU, which is preposterous. If you have any more questions, I'm online often. (Imbris, please do not respond to this, this is not the place) Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 03:22, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What the website says is that the SFRY flag is shown, no where does it say that all entries appeared under that flag. They fixed an obvious error, don't worry about it. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 17:11, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You've uploaded File:Riblja corba - Istina album cover.jpg, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Prespa e Vogël and Golloborda. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prespa e Vogël and Golloborda. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Kiro Gligorov.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kiro Gligorov.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone.

Thank you. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:54, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
