Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Star Factor, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. December 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's discussion. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 13:39, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, using 'or else' when contesting the deletion of the page isn't very collegial. Just saying. Syrthiss (talk) 13:40, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's discussion. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 13:43, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Yunshui  13:44, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

Can you please unblock me. Thank you. I'm not very happy about being blocked. I only wanted to share my article with the world.

Decline reason:

We're not happy about having to block you - unfortunately, sometimes it's the only way when someone insists on breaking Wikipedia policy - even after being politely asked to stop numerous times. All articles must meet specific requirements. Of course you cannot friend people here - this is an encyclopedia, not Facebook. See WP:GAB for more information about unblocks (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:18, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I formatted your unblock request, and deleted your hoax article that you repeated here. Fair warning - if you try to restore that article here, I will remove your access to edit this page. Syrthiss (talk) 14:02, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, am I able to add you as a friend on Wikipedia?
I'm really unhappy about being blocked, this has been the worst birthday ever :'(
I think I've learnt my lesson now. Let me enjoy the rest of my birthday please.

Happy birthday. I certainly hope that being unable to introduce hoax articles to a serious body of knowledge is not something that spoils a birthday ... it's just a website, after all. At some point you will read, understand, and decide to follow the 5 pillars of Wikipedia. Until then, I would encourage you to continue your studies. Request reason:

I'm sorry for doing wrong but I've changed my ways, please give me another chance. Thank you.

Decline reason:

It is not clear from this request that you understand what was wrong about what you've done, nor is it clear how you intende to change your ways. Before we give you any chances, you're going to have to make us believe that you have changed by being detailed in your understanding about what you have done wrong, and detailed in your explanation about what you intend to do at Wikipedia. Request reason:

I am really sorry and I will never do anything bad to the website again. It's just because I look up to, and aspire to become just like all of you great people. Hey, mistakes happen, we are all human, but there are two important things that only we humans can do, firstly, making mistakes and secondly, forgiving others; so please forgive me for making such a foolish mistake, forgive me by giving me another chance, we are all the same; it doesn't matter about your nationality or the colour of your skin, we are all human beings. So this is me, Dylan Whittaker, a sixteen year old from England, and a human being, asking for your forgiveness. If I am unblocked I will go out of my way to help Wikipedia, I want to make amends by helping to perfect this outstanding website. I will be most grateful if I can be given this chance to help and make up for my mistake, I read the article about hoxes and understand what was wrong about what I did. Thank you.

Accept reason:

See remarks below. Welcome back. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:16, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This person may be worth unblocking and watching, since this latest request indicates that he actually wants to help. If he doesn't, he can be reblocked indefinitely per WP:ROPE. Any thoughts? Reaper Eternal (talk) 19:58, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You'll have to clear it with the blocking admin first, but I'd be good with that, with the understanding that any more shenanigans will result in another block, and also with less sympathy. --Jayron32 21:53, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see he refactored one of my comments...which is a no-no. However, check with the blocking admin. The pranks were juvenile, and certainly not what one would have expected from anyone over the age of 12. Perhaps there's hope, however. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:03, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm willing to unblock you if it is ok with the admin who originally blocked you. I've asked his opinion on his talk page. You should be aware that a single act of vandalism, hoaxing, or other bad-faith behavior in the future will lead to a rapid re-instatement of this block, and that it will be much more difficult to talk your way out of it in that case. Hopefully that won't be a problem and you are being sincere in your stated desire to edit productively. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:06, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Replying here as well, that is fine with me. Thanks. Syrthiss (talk) 21:10, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for unblocking me. I promise you that you will not come to see this as a bad decision, I will strive to only do good for Wikipedia. (DylanWhittaker) (talk) 23:14, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

[edit]
The Original Barnstar
For editing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (GR game show) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Rorshacma (talk) 21:33, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
