License tagging for Image:April17.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:April17.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:08, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on DURKART, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why DURKART is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:DURKART. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable.
An important note
[edit]It's never a good idea to create an article about yourself or your pet project. We strive for objectivity here, and who can truly be objective about deciding on their own notability? If someone else, someone who doesn't know you personally, decides independently to create an article about you, then that's something different. But as it is...
It's the difference between you creating a webpage for yourself, and someone who you've never heard of creating the Dave Durkart Fansite. Do you see what I mean? DS 13:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Please note that the category page itself is not the place to add your biography. As per the comments you've already had here, the correct procedure would be for somebody other than yourself to write an article about you at your own name; that would then be filed in the category by putting the gay artists category tag at the bottom of that article.
