Im done.
Some sentences were more difficult to write then others. English is my third language. But I added sources to several areas and tried to fix the text as best as I could to fit together with the sources.
Not sure about that the boat was from Turkey (it said Greece, I changed it) but the article has always said that the boat came from Izmir, and that her father worked in Demirci, and the info Al Amers son added today further strengthened that claim, although I do not have that book he has placed as a reference, so as I said I'm not 100% sure about that part. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 16:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- answer to "needs clarification" its says in the book "Colors of enchantment" on page 281: "All that is certain is that Fahd worked for the Ottoman/Committee for Union and Progress until the late teens" I had written the pages in all the references, maybe you shouldn't have deleted them.--Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 21:40, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- You should integrate all info int the body not quotes. I needed clarification in how long he worked there cause they didn't live there forever.--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 21:43, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- yes I know, but so it would be easy for people to check up and see that the references are correct, now they only see the books without knowing which pages to read. I don't know how long he worked there. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 21:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- The pages are still there, the quotation isn't needed. We assume good faith. Did he work there before she was born?--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 21:51, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- It says in the same book on page 280 that he was educated in Istanbul and that all that is certain is that he worked for that Ottoman committee. The only thing we have now is that she was born on the boat taking them to Lebanon, there is no source for this in the article and I have not found one to verify this. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 21:57, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Did he work there until his teens or her teens? If this is so vague it should be removed from there and maybe added to their family article.--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 22:06, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Of course hes (her fathers) late teens, this is the quote ""All that is certain is that Fahd worked for the Ottoman/Committee for Union and Progress until the late teens" .. I don't know if he worked somewhere else before or after this in Turkey. Everything is very vague. If you read at page 281 here, you can see that even his family members wasn't sure. http://books.google.com/books?id=MOVPaLXjjsAC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Colors+of+enchantment --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 22:21, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Ok then could u remove "Asmahan's father worked for the Committee of Union and Progress in Turkey" as it doesn't add any substance to this section and he worked there till his teens which was before she was born and doesn't relate to her. Please also reply on your talk page about the music genre.--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 22:26, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well it depends, Al Ameer son added info today about him fearing revenge from greek soldiers, considering that he worked for the Turks, so that's why they left turkey, so there is a connection to his job if this is true, you should ask Al Ameer son where he got that from. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 22:33, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
