This edit (Adding CN tags) was pointless. https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Barn_swallow&oldid=1213436223 See Wikipedia:CITELEAD 48JCL (talk) 17:35, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- @48JCL Hi, thanks for your concern. As the Citelead guideline states, citations in the lead are neither required nor necessarily encouraged -- however, with the specific information cited in this article's relatively large lead, I felt it a) wasn't easily findable later in the article or b) was challengable information I couldn't find a reputable source for during my editing. For these reasons, I believe the templates were warranted. If you feel my edits were pointless, I invite you to remove the templates, or find relevant sources where available, but rest assured I'm aware of the guideline. - Oh, then it wasn’t pointless. Sorry, I have also seen that it is not proven in the body. This is concerning for a featured article, you may reassess it or fix the issues 48JCL (talk • contribs) 11:32, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- @DuckWrangler97 I have removed the pointless CN tags and have replaced the CN tag in the lead with citation needed lead. 48JCL (talk) 13:40, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
