Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to List of companies of Ireland. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. HighKing (talk) 17:33, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - just responding to the message you left. Be aware that Wikipedia is a free and open encyclopedia - you do not have to pay for anything. But Wikipedia has developed a number of policies over time to ensure that content meets certain criteria. Sometimes the sheer number of policies can be pretty overwhelming, but in general, the content must be notable and meet certain criteria. Advertising for commercial gain is a big no-no though. Check out WP:V, WP:SPAM and WP:EL for a start. --HighKing (talk) 20:42, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi But i put my company in the list of 'other' companies This includes paddy power and boylesports , and all other types, so mine should be fine , right? Do i need to be a huge company in which case i can donate money or something? how are they on there? They just have a larger turnover, thats the only difference.

I am willing to do a page up about the company just like the others and to help improve the pages such as 'plumber' 'showers' and so forth and give my knowledge to help the site.i doubt very much the other companies listed have given any input to wikipedia.

BTW, please sign your posts by using four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. Check out WP:SPAM and WP:EL to see the types of links that are acceptable. Also, articles must demonstrate "notability" in reliable 3rd party references. There's an essay on Notability in Wikipedia that covers some of the difficulties associates with the rules and policy contained at WP:N. BTW, these are not my rules or policies, and any editor is free to edit any article, and any other editor is free to challlenge an edit. --HighKing (talk) 16:56, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
