Welcome!

Hello, Dubhbairn, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Dave Dial (talk) 19:10, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Your report at this noticeboard accused someone of sockpuppetry and vandalism. I see zero evidence of sockpuppetry or vandalism in the editor you reported. If there is evidence, please provide it, but right now it looks like you're just casting aspersions, which, if continued, could result in sanctions against you. Thank you. There is very clear evidence of abuse. User Cavalryman is literally page blanking & deleting entire dog breeds from Wikipedia. See example below: "Karelo-Finnish Laika: Difference between revisions." Reporting someone for deleting multiple Wikipedia articles is not "harassment."

First, deleting material from articles, when done in good faith, is not vandalism. Please read WP:VANDNOT. Calvaryman made a bold edit; if you disagreed, you were well within your rights to revert his edit, but the tantrum you threw in the edit summary, on Calvaryman's talk page, and at AIV was not appropriate. Second, you accused Calvaryman of sockpupetry. Specifically, you said, Stop Cavalryman & his sock-puppets from mass deleting & page blanking any more articles. Where is the evidence that Calvaryman is using sockpuppets to "mass delete" or "blank articles"? I don't see any evidence of sockpuppetry, and unless you have a good reason for doing making such an accusation, it's harassment plain and simple. If you continue this behavior, it could well be grounds for sanctions. Aoi (青い) (talk) 08:09, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please forgive me 青い, but I have never reported anyone on Wikipedia before & was simply trying to report what he was doing in what I thought were proper terms, in what looked like the proper place, according to what I read. I also did not want to engage in an edit war with him, so I reported him so that his actions could be looked into & noted for future reference. He has also apparently deleted & vandalized other articles that had been linked to his page by others, so I reported it.

If you have any advice as to how I should go about properly protecting that page in order to make sure that page does not get "page blanked" or vandalized again in the future, I would really appreciate it. Respectfully yours, Dubhbairn
