Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Missy Monroe worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Jessica Drake. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Tabercil (talk) 13:43, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Hillary Scott, you will be blocked from editing. Tabercil (talk) 13:45, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

(Placing my reply on your talk page just in case you don't check my own):

Calling it advertising is a bit of a stretch, but none of the other categories for the particular rollback software I use fit. The section for awards is pretty much reserved specifically for awards found in the Category:Adult movie awards, and you're not on there. Who was the other movie critic you were speaking with? Maybe the awards he was adding were already on the list... Tabercil (talk) 14:12, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 15:56, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
