The number one thing about me is I have asperger's syndrome. I love collecting and organizing information. I am easily confused so please be patient with me and I'll continue to be an increasingly great Wikipedian.

I enjoy cleaning up vandalism and writing articles about everything, especially notable businesses and individuals. I'm a firm believer that listing all notable businesses and individuals in a neutral way makes for a brilliant online Encyclopedia that is mapping out the world and all it's worthwhile knowledge! Instead of having to pour through online propaganda people should be able to come to Wikipedia and see the un-biased facts about companies, persons, and places.

helpme Trying to link "Light-emitting diode" to article I wrote http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Light_Waves_Concept%2C_Inc because it has been tagged as orphaned. I click on "links to it" in the "This article is Orphaned" box then don't know what do... Thanks in advance. I love Wikipedia!! Drewhamilton (talk) 02:14, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link you are talking about simply gives a list of what pages link to the article in question - nothing more. What you need to do is add square brackets to other articles. For instance, typing Light Waves Concept, Inc will create Light Waves Concept, Inc. Typing these are made by this company creates these are made by this company. Hope this helps,

License tagging for Image:Chocolate Yorkshire Terrier.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chocolate Yorkshire Terrier.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:CandaceMossler.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Strangerer (Talk) 00:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Curious

[edit]

I must say, I'm very curious about your treatment of Firefly (TV series). You appear to have recognized immediately that there was vandalism. But how exactly did it escape your notice that it was ONE line of vandalism in a featured article? And why exactly did speedy deletion enter the picture?

Yeah, I recognize you fixed it, but it's still an oddity. And I'm curious. --Maratanos (talk) 17:16, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm back to Wikipedia after many months of not using it. I always go to "User Contributions" and check the most recent edits for vandalism. It didn't escape my notice that it was just one line, I just forgot to delete that one line, not mark it for speedy deletion. Drewhamilton (talk) 20:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Centralized TV Episode Discussion

[edit]

Over the past months, TV episodes have been reverted by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [1]. --Maniwar (talk) 23:44, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Moving/Relocation Companies, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Moving/Relocation Companies is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Moving/Relocation Companies, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 16:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please explain to me how to do a proper redirect (I looked at the instructions for over half and hour and couldn't get it rigtht!) In article "Relocation Services" I edited a sentence to explaining Relocation Services Vs Moving/Relocation Companies & wanted Moving/Relocation Companies go redirect to "Moving Company" Drewhamilton (talk) 16:12, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Visisys

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Visisys, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add db-author to the top of Visisys. B. Wolterding (talk) 22:26, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. Please note that I did not tag the article for deletion. I merely applied a maintenance tag because I thought it needed improvement in that area (believe me, if I thought it merited deletion, I would have let you know). Therefore, there's no need for the hangon tag. With the extensive quotes, it still looks more like a press release than an encyclopedia article. If it were me, I'd lose the quotes, make the bibliography less prominent, and use those copious sources to flesh out the body of the article. I hope this helps, and please don't think I'm coming down on you. Take care. --Finngall talk 23:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I maintain that if there's so much being written about him, then there should be enough material there to substantially expand the actual prose text portion of the article, but then again I'm more of a vandal-fighter than an editor per se, so I shan't pursue it further. Good day. --Finngall talk 00:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Drew. Thankyou for raising the issues with the page for Australian band, "The Galvatrons." I have sought to rectify the issues by tidying the page up, adding references and so on. I hope this is sufficient and I look forward to seeing the "Speedy deletion" notification removed as soon as possible. Regards. Boogiefever1985 (talk) 07:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lifebody Fitness

[edit]

Hangon tag or not, you still need to at least assert that this business is notable per WP:CORP. You can't just say, as you did, "this is X gym in Y city", add a tag, and expect the article to be kept. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately Nawlin has no clue what they are talking about. There were no Hangon Tag there was an "Underconstruction" tag. I am fully aware of WP:CORP now please go learn about "underconstruction" before deleting my article that I can't work on now because it was deleted after two sentences.

Drewhamilton (talk) 05:07, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drew - NawlinWiki is right - we don't include every business in Wikipedia - just ones that are noteworthy in some way. The guideline to help decide whether a business is noteworthy or not is here. If it is a noteworthy business, you should have no trouble adding some references from reliable sources that show this noteability. --Rlandmann (talk) 06:20, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
 • Hello. I saw your recreated LifeBODY article. I tried to google it and find some semblance of notability and cannot. Perhaps you can help me. Has it won any national awards for gyms? Has it contributed to anything of notable importance? Sometimes we just have to accept that a subject just isn't notable enough (yet) for inclusion. [As a sidenote, I had an article deleted that I thought was perfectly notable. It was about the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence. It seemed notable to me...a government-sponsored organization that multiple (federal, state, and local) law enforcement agencies partnered with to help victims of domestic violence. But, apparently to other wikipedians, it just didn't cut the mustard (so to speak). So we just gotta keep on truckin'.] Happy editing!--Sallicio 06:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored your original version of the page, as it was before it was deleted. You can see it here and see that yes, it was indeed tagged "under construction", not "hangon".
Although the other two editors acted very quickly, there's no reason to think that you're being "ganged up on". There are many of us patrolling the new additions to Wikipedia - it's not uncommon for a new article to attract the attention of more than one patroller at the same time.
I don't think there was any harm intended - perhaps just a little too quick on the trigger finger. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 06:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My deletion of Lifebody Fitness Inc.

[edit]

First of all, if you're getting emotionally invested in Wikipedia, I think you're in too deep. It's not worth the aggravation; your real life sanity and peace of mind are far more important than your voluntary participation in this project.

Second, your sources support no notability according to WP:NOTE and WP:CORP. If I'm missing something, please bring it to my attention, and I'll gladly work with you on this.

Third, your summation of my record. Keep in mind that articles are often started without any assertions of notability, or grossly insufficient. They get deleted, and usually a notification goes up on the author's talk page. The author is certainly free to reintroduce it, and oftentimes they do so, adding notability assertions (they don't need to immediately source them to avoid WP:CSD, strictly speaking). So then, the article is restored. There is no "wrong" or "right" here; it's an interpretation of policy, and when there is no assertion of notability, it's expected that WP:CSD comes into play. That being said, I'm as human as the next admin, and prone to oversight or error. Since this project is ruled by community consensus, I have no expectations to ever unduly influence its content, so it is realistically easy to go over my head, as it were, if you have sufficient arguments to do so.

Fourth and finally, per my own search, review of the references you did provide, and the comments of the above users, I don't think you have enough to prove this gym is truly notable enough to merit inclusion. If you do bring it back, it will likely meet an AFD review; then it won't be just one admin's choice, but the community will weigh in.

I'm sorry your feelings were hurt, but as I said, so much emotional investment is just not worth it. Take a nap, take a wikibreak, do what you have to so as not to affect your IRL emotions and well-being. Cheers! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:07, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Shop.Com

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Shop.Com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bfigura (talk) 04:47, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you'll look at the article, you'll note that I changed my mind and removed the deletion tag about 2 seconds after I initially tagged it. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 04:54, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, my fault for tagging in the first place -- it just seemed link a standard spam article until I looked at who the CEO was in more detail, etc. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 05:12, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know, I thought there's probably more sources out there to establish notability, so I left it up in the hope that they'd get added by someone. But if you'd prefer to take the tag down, I don't have a problem with that. Best, --Bfigura (talk) 05:19, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of EMRG Media

[edit]

A tag has been placed on EMRG Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

Hi there - I have declined your A1 speedy of this article. The article appeared to have context, in that it was clear what the subject of the article was. If you have any questions, please drop a line to my talkpage Fritzpoll (talk) 00:02, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Shop.Com, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shop.Com. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Bfigura (talk) 20:04, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have declined the A1 speedy template you placed on the article: the claim that the article lacks "sufficient context to identify the subject of the article" is obviously not true. The article is called Fort Huerfano, and its topic is Fort Huerfano. I appreciate your time and effort, but I have to urge you to be more careful in your application of speedy deletion templates. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 04:49, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You blanked this article, and placed a db-author template on it: that can only be done if the author has blanked the content of the article and/or requested deletion. You are not the author or even a contributor to the article, and the author did not blank it; you cannot apply the template. Again, I urge more care. Drmies (talk) 04:53, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Drewhamilton. You have new messages at Drmies's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.

The speedy deletion template here was also incorrectly applied, and I have removed it. It is very difficult to see how that attempt at an article, as flawed as it may have been, promoted an entity--mention of a foundation does not spam make. Drmies (talk) 05:02, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Customer Focus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. EnOreg (talk) 15:03, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Drum Marketing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company vanity page sourced only to company's web site.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. OCNative (talk) 08:07, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi Drewhamilton,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
