A tag has been placed on Bob and Penny Lord, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WebHamster 01:04, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re..Bob and Penny Lord article

I was wondering how this was considered spam? Bob and Penny are renowned authors within the Catholic community, and their page was no different than that of other authors of today. The article I had posted was a very rough draft done late last night. I had planned on adding to it continuosly as I had time, but it has since been deleted.

I read the rules when I first joined Wikipedia, but like every other new user, will learn the ropes as I go on. I had planned on being a contribuor here at Wikipedia, but seeing as how my first article has been deleted, apparently I am not needed.

Please justify your reasoning.

  • The version that got deleted had been all spammed up with stuff like this: "Through the intercession of Our Lady, they came back to Jesus and His Church, only now as converts, on fire, thirsting to know more about this Church founded by Jesus." See User:Joe12811/Bob and Penny Lord. If you can repost it in a neutral fashion, feel free. NawlinWiki 01:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hangon Tag

[edit]

Hi, I removed the {{hangon}} tag from your talk page. For future reference, the tag should go on the page with the speedy tag, so the admin knows not to delete it quickly. Please don't be discouraged, and welcome to Wikipedia. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 01:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
