Re: Reverts to {{davematthewsband}}
- Here is a duplicate of my response on my talk page for your convenience:
Your warning is inappropriate. It implies a pattern of many reverts to many edits by many authors. That is not the case. In fact, I did not even revert your edit, but merely altered a portion of it, and this only occured a single time. I also did not assume you lacked good faith in your edit, I simply thought it was wrong, going against the vast majority of musician templates.
In regards to the {{U2}} template, it appears that the non-performers were added at a time when that second line read "Additional Staff"... (below the line "Bandmembers" [1].) Now that those labels have been removed, I would suggest that the U2 template may also need to be revisted for clarity's sake. Adm58 20:47, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: {{SEPTA-stub}}
Hi - I've moved the debate on {{SEPTA-stub}} to Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. Please read the instructions at the top of WP:TFD more carefully! Grutness...wha? 21:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Ninth to 9th?
Why did you replace this with AWB? The standard for the project is to spell out 1st to 10th. Though I see that you only did this to PATH, which was only recently added to the project. --NE2 07:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- When I first saw the edits on my watchlist, I immediately thought you had changed subway station names; I guess some of my initial confusion rubbed off. I think it looks more "formal" to spell out 1st to 10th, but it doesn't matter much either way to me. --NE2 16:14, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Lillywhite.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lillywhite.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:18, 19 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 12.216.2.149 06:18, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:U2vid zootvld.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:U2vid zootvld.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:08, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Image:911film.jpg
I have tagged Image:911film.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:05, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Infobox Station
The handling on the type
parameter on {{Infobox Station}} has just been changed in a non-trivial way. I think I've fixed all the damage in the article space but your input would be appreciated on the talk page: Template_talk:Infobox_Station#Customization. Thanks, Mackensen (talk) 14:47, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Case seal.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Case seal.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 16:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

You must give the source, a fair use claim, and a detailed fair use rationale before any administrator can undelete this image. Better yet, please convert it to PNG before reuploading it with the fair use claim and rationale because Wikipedia does not want GIF files unless they are animations because PNG almost always produces smaller files. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free content for details on Wikipedia policy on fair use images. Jesse Viviano 22:12, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Pride: The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Plays U2 Infobox
You seem to be quite knowledgeable about infoboxes - I was wondering if you could help me with the infobox for Pride: The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Plays U2. I have added an alternate cover, but I cannot seem to make the background the same as the actual tribute album template. Could you help me out with this? MelicansMatkin 21:57, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for your help. I'm still a novice when it comes to infoboxes, and I appreciate all of your help immensely. I was aware of the U2Wanderer page (thats where I got the release date from originally), and I was having trouble finding any other viable sources.

Re: {{Infobox album}} chronology
In reply to this message:
- The "no EP, compilations, live albums or singles in chronology" guideline is unfortunately often ignored (for the first three categories, more rarely for the last), I suspect most often simply because editors are unaware of it. My guess is unawareness is probably the reason the guideline isn't followed by the U2 articles as well. I edit quite a few album articles myself, and I can attest that the guideline is followed (for the first three categories) for some artist's chronologies, but it's likely less than 50%. There was some discussion about it at WT:ALBUM recently, and I assume you'd find it's been discussed earlier as well if you dig through the archives. --PEJL 21:58, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Drive-by comment... I found this situation particularly interesting because the U2 albums used to run separate chronologies by type. Edits like this changed it to the current practice. –Unint 03:10, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:BOWA.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BOWA.jpg.
Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
