If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on National Association of School Superintendents, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WuhWuzDat 18:35, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you rewrite the article in your own words, and supply references, you have a chance of survival. See WP:GNG for general notability, and WP:RS for reliable sources. I tagged it copyvio rather than just deleting it straight away to give you a chance to think about it, as it is obviously not commercial spam. If it goes before you get anything done, you can work on it in your userspace. If you don't have a copy, I can supply you with one. It's best kept on a subpage (ask me if you don't know how). Possibly best if you rewrite it offline first to avoid copyright problems. Rewrite means a lot more than just rearranging a few words, by the way. Then ask for advice. Any regular editor is likely to be willing to cast an eye over your work and tell you if anything needs changing. But first, find the references. Sorry about the alphabet soup - it saves time typing. Status and Advice

[edit]

I did the necessary rewriting. Most of the copied material did not need to be rewritten, it rather needed to be removed, as not being of any use to those not in the organization, or as general promotion of the importance of public education. What is now needed are references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases, to show the importance of the organization.
