Online Ambassador?

[edit]

Hi Professor Musa, my name is Keilana and I'd like to extend another welcome to you! We're glad you're here. I noticed on the course page that you didn't yet have an online ambassador for your courses. If you'd like one, I'd be very interested to help you out. If not - good luck with your classes, and I hope you enjoy contributing! All the best, Keilana|Parlez ici 05:51, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

Hello, Draymusa, and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are a course instructor leading a class project. We encourage you to read our instructions for teachers and lecturers. It is strongly recommended that you add your class to our list of school and university projects. Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks Sarah,Keilana, and Pharaoh of the Wizards. I am excited to be involved in the Wikipedia education project.

Keilana, I would be glad to have an online ambassador to work with my classes. Can you tell me more about what that means? Draymusa (talk) 17:14, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! An Online Ambassador provides online support for a class. So, that would entail helping onwiki with formatting and the like, plus talking to individual students, as well as conducting live help sessions through a medium like IRC. It's just another way for you and your students to get support. Keilana|Parlez ici 22:45, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your impression of WP assignments for religious studies courses

[edit]

Greetings. I'm thinking about whether to prepare a WP assignment in one of my religious studies courses next semester (Spring 2014). I'd be curious to know about your experiences. Have you written up any reflections or assessment of your WP efforts with your 2 courses, e.g., how it went with students, support from WP volunteers, interactions with other editors, etc.? Have you been in touch with any other religion profs? Thanks! 19:13, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
