Recent edit to Chinese Indonesians
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Chinese Indonesians, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! I would recomment using a wp:template to help do a full reference. template:cite book might be useful. Adding the |ISBN= parameter w/ isbn helps others find the specific book. See Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:footnotes. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 05:45, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Guangdong
[edit]I have undone your edit to Guangdong, partly as it was unclear (when?) but mostly as on checking the source it is not a reliable one, being a letter, published in a missionary journal, i.e. one person’s opinion and not a reliable source. Reading the rest of that letter it has not aged well, is unscientific and based on rumour and speculation. Not the sort of source to support contentious statements in an article.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 10:51, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Taishanese people into Cantonese people. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:43, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
I see you are still not adding the required attribution, as required under the terms of the CC-by-SA license. Please have a look at this edit summary as an example of how it is done. Please leave a message on my talk page if you still don't understand what to do or why we have to do it. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:13, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tajiks of Xinjiang, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sarikol. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
