A tag has been placed on User:Dr. P. R. Datta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://cberuk.com/speaker/dr-p-r-datta-fcim-fcmi. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --Dr. P. R. Datta (talk) 10:04, 2 June 2020 (UTC) The profile is written by me and it is available from my company page which is www.cberuk.com and also via my personal website. The profile is available in other online platform too. I have the full right to publish this details.[reply]

The page is "CBER © 2020 All Rights Reserved." Even if it were not a copyright violation, Wikipedia does not exist to indulge your vanity and urge for self-promotion. Cabayi (talk) 12:47, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dr. P. R. Datta: There are a number of problems with your response:
  • As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia's mission is to provide the public with articles that summarize accepted knowledge, written neutrally and sourced reliably. Readers expect to find neutral articles written independently of their subject, not corporate or personal webpages, or platforms for advertising and self-promotion.
  • You are not entitled to have an article. Wikipedia requires that people meet its notability criteria to be deemed worthy of inclusion. It means a person must have already been the subject of significant coverage by multiple sources that are both reliable and independent of the person. Self-authored sources (such as personal websites, interviews and social media) are defined as self-published and therefore not reliable. You are not an objective judge of your own notability, which is why we highly discourage people from writing about themselves.
  • Your userpage is not an encyclopedia article; userpage content must conform to Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. Exhaustive autobiographic and self-promotional content is contrary to these guidelines.
  • You cannot post copyrighted material on Wikipedia - even if you are the copyright holder - unless the material has been released for use by the verified copyright owner into the public domain or under a license compatible with Wikipedia. These licenses allow anyone - not just Wikipedia — to share, distribute, transmit, and adapt your work, provided that you are attributed as the author. Also, because some derivative works may be commercial, we cannot accept materials that are licensed only for educational use or even for general non-commercial use. Releasing the material is both permanent and irrevocable.
