For New Listing COI[edit]

Seeking to add an Independent label Philville Records http://philvillerecords.com/index.html under the Record Label Listing on Wikipedia as well as Philville Records Artists:

  • Frostbitten Grass
  • Ventucky String Band
  • Matthew Robert Sayles

Full disclosure, I'm the owner of the independent record label that was founded in 2001 in Marquette, Michigan. The label moved to Bend, Oregon in late 2004, Susanville, CA from 2007-2009, and has been located in Ventura, CA since 2009. I am also a solo artist, and have been involved as an artist (performer, recording engineer, producer, etc) in all of the twelve releases on the label. Some of the acts have had moderate success (reviews outside the U.S., opened for major artists, album reviews, national and international tours). I think we meet the criteria for listing, though I'm aware that it is in bad form to promote your own label/music on Wikipedia, so I'm hoping for some help or suggestions about the best way to proceed. Thanks for all that you editors do!

A few of the acts (including one of my solo albums) have had moderate success in the business.

Hello Dr. Gravy, and thank you for following Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines in making your edit request. To qualify as an entry on List of record labels: I–Q, the record label must have its own article first. If you click 'edit' (just to view the source code) on List of record labels: I–Q, you'll see a comment text on the second line reading . To qualify for having an individual article, a record label must prove that it is notable, i.e. it has received significant coverage in reliable sources. If you wish to submit an article about your record label, you may do so by using the Articles for Creation review system. Best, Altamel (talk) 03:58, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
