Inclusion criteria

  • No birth dates permitted
  • The opening and closure dates of notable jazz clubs
  • founding of jazz institutions
  • Founding of jazz record labels
  • The background of the release and recording of some of the most popular standards
  • Recording dates of highly popular or critically acclaimed jazz albums
  • The initial opening date of jazz festivals
  • Notable deaths in jazz, particularly those who died in heated circumstances
  • Moments which reputable publications such as The Guardian, Jazz Times etc consider to be notable moments.
  • Dates of gigs of notable jazz artists in notable jazz venues which might be released as live albums
  • The release dates of notable films about jazz, critically acclaimed or commercial successful

There should be no issue with including those, are certainly what you would expect. This could be a very valuable list once fully researched and balanced out.† Encyclopædius 18:44, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
