Lou Robertson

[edit]

Geographical articles are not the place to write biographies. They usually contain only a link to the biography of each notable person who lived there, with a few words to indicate the field in which they were notable. Rutherford gets a full sentence, because he is one of the most notable New Zealanders.

The usual way is therefore to write an article on the notable person, and then to link to them from the geographical article.

If as your username suggests, you are related to Lou Robertson, then you have a conflict of interest, and you should not create the article yourself. You could look through the articles in Category:Australian horse trainers and see who contributed to them; they may be interested in creating an article on Lou Robertson, and you can assist them by linking to sources.

If you do not have a conflict of interest, or you decide this behavioural guideline does not matter, you might create an article as a draft, e.g. Draft:Lou Robertson and let someone else determine whether the article is created according to Wikipedia standards. That someone else will not be me.

In the meantime, I will condense the material you have added to Brightwater and move it to a "notable people" section.-gadfium 02:03, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
