Images for your article

[edit]

Hi Douglas!

My name is Mabalu - I took on your article to work on it to prevent its being deleted, and I hope you approve of the rewrite I did on it. I see you have made a few corrections to spelling and small fact tweaks, which I appreciate. Explanations have been made on the Teahouse forum about the copyright issues with pictures - the problem is that even if the advertisement is out of copyright, the original photographer may still retain rights to the image itself, which can be problematic. However, it would be amazing if you are able to provide some of your own images for your article - pictures that you have taken yourself would be absolutely fine to use. On this archive page, while the magazine scans and spreads are probably unsuitable to use, any one of the photographs of the mesh garments would be a brilliant image to use as they clearly show your work and technique. This is an opportunity to take advantage of to choose some of the best pictures you have taken of your work in order to illustrate your article - just make sure that you own the images and that they are not someone else's professional work. Again, please do think about this - we don't need loads of images, maybe just one really good image of your leather work, and another of one of your mesh dresses, and of course, a portrait of you that you are happy to have used to represent you but one that isn't copyrighted to another photographer. Do ask on my talk page if you have any questions. Mabalu (talk) 01:24, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
