If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anthony "Tony" White requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. –Ugncreative Usergname (talk) 02:47, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback

[edit]

Hi Tony, and thanks for your feedback. You can set your talkpage signature to something other than "Dotmatrix33" by going to "My preferences" (top right of your screen) and entering something different in the Signature bar. When you save your changes to that page, your signature on talkpages will be replaced by whatever you enter in that box.

See WP:CUSTOMSIG for more details and for some of the guidelines to follow. If you need a hand, drop me a note on my talkpage.

I'm not sure what you intended by moving this page from your sandbox, but it shouldn't have ended up as a userpage. If you're through with it, and would like it removed, the easiest thing to do is simply to blank the page, leaving your sandbox free for work on another article. Now I really have no idea what you're trying to do. You've already created the article Anthony "Tony" White. If there are any differences between that and Wikipedia:Anthony "Tony" White, you should copy the correct text into the article, then place a {{db-g7}} deletion tag on the latter. Pages with the "Wikipedia:" prefix are not articles, but internal guidelines, discussions, etc, and this text clearly doesn't belong there. You had moved the page to Wikipedia space. This is not the correct place for it. I have incorporated your changes (plus a few copy edits of my own) into the Anthony "Tony" White article and moved your article back into your sandbox. Please note for future reference you cannot move article about like this, as there is no way to move them back without deleting the original. You can't do that unless you have admin privileges.
I also think your page name isn't right. How is he best known, as Anthony or Tony? The article should probably be called either Anthony White (musician) or Tony White (musician) and linked on the Anthony White and/or Tony White disambiguation pages. Its current title is a mish-mash of both names that people may find difficult to find. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:19, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Anthony "Tony" White has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
