Speedy deletion nomination of Curtiss-Wright VZ-7
[edit]A tag has been placed on Curtiss-Wright VZ-7 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - I declined the speedy delete and rearranged things a little bit. Hopefully you will continue to expand the article and make it better. If you have any questions let me know. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 15:41, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Edits to "Space Race" article
[edit]Dear Dominictroc,
Your several edits to the "Space Race" article are appreciated, yet a bit confusing. I deleted one sentence ("The Zond had a crew of two cosmonauts, a commander and a pilot.") because it conflicted with an earlier stipulation that the flights were "unmanned," with one successful flight returning its non-human passengers (tortoises) to Earth. Perhaps you can clarify.
The section is, in general, a bit confusing--especially for someone who knows little about the program you are describing. Could you please define your terms and clarify things a bit more? Also the section is entirely unsourced. We do need sourcing. Thanks.Apostle12 (talk) 21:08, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tired and Feathered
[edit]A tag has been placed on Tired and Feathered, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 18:12, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
