Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Marion van de Wetering. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Just because you don't agree with its deletion, doesn't mean you have to start vandalizing Wikipedia. Try Deletion Review instead.--Atlan (talk) 15:40, 22 October 2007 (UTC) Please refrain from creating inappropriate pages such as Marion+van+de+Wetering. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Toddstreat1 18:45, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Marion van de Wetering requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Camaron1 | Chris 18:46, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Marion van de Wetering, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Marion van de Wetering is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Marion van de Wetering saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. With regard to your comments on Marion van de Wetering: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. ~Eliz81(C) 18:49, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have created a deletion review as advised, the page has now had a {{delrev}} tag placed on it, so we will see how the deletion review goes. Camaron1 | Chris 19:27, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rudeness in comments and edit summaries

[edit]

I know it can be frustrating when people disagree with you, but recreating deleted articles, writing abusive edit summaries, and personally attacking editors who disagree with you isn't on. Please try to stay calm and be polite. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 19:38, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you don't appear to be here to write an encylopedia but instead engage in attacks, I've given you a short block for 1 week to allow you to cool off. You can still edit this talk page . Theresa Knott | The otter sank 22:31, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
