Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia!

You recently left a message on my talk page requesting me as an online ambassador. It looks like my time commitments at work are greater than I expected and so I've removed my name from the list of possible mentors, I encourage you to contact one of the others. I wish you the best with your editing! --Madeleine 16:59, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mentor

[edit]

Hi Dohanian89, I noticed that you were looking for a Wikipedia Ambassador mentor. I would be happy to fulfil that role. If you would like me to do that, just leave me a message here and we can go from there. Regards, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash (Driving well?) 17:49, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Rock drum. I'll be in touch with you. These are the articles my group is working on:

1.) Shawn Bentley Orphan Works Act of 2008 2.) Secure Federal File Sharing Act 3.) (Undecided)

Sure, just ask me any questions you may have or find me on IRC. Regards, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash (Driving well?) 14:29, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rock Drum, I just wanted to say that my group added "The Pirate Bay Trial" and the list of intellectual property legislation proposed by the 111th Congress to our quest for academic enlightenment. Is there anything you can help me on regarding these topics. The Pirate Bay Trial recently experienced an appeal from one of the defendants so we'll be updating the information about that on the Wikipedia page.

Best, Derik

Thanks for keeping me updated! Rock drum Ba-dumCrash (Driving well?) 16:25, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rock Drum, So, I'm currently working on the 111th Congress page for proposed legislation. What recommendations would you suggest to propel this up two grades? Here's the link: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_intellectual_property_legislation_proposed_in_the_United_States_Congress

Hi Derik, because the article is a list, it's graded differently, there aren't as many grades for it to go up, but to improve it I would give you the following tips:
  1. Add a nice bit of introductory prose on the topic, based on sources.
  2. Add some sources, with citation templates. To use citation templates go to my My Preferences > Gadgets > Editing gadgets > tick the refTools box and clear your cache. Now when you go to edit the page to add a reference, press on the little button which says {{cite}}. This will make adding cites easy.
  3. I would also suggest that the list gets converted into a table, to which you can add columns about other information including sponsors and a notes section for each one here things like related petitions and activism campaigns, etc., can be noted.

Also, please sign your posts on talk pages with ~~~~, which will add your signature. Regards, Rock drum Ba-dumCrash (Driving well?) 20:27, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
