Disambiguation link notification for July 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of unidentified murder victims in Florida, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ford Falcon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Unidentified decedents
[edit]I noticed you added a few red links to the navbox Template:Unidentified decedent. Are you planning to create articles at those locations anytime soon? In general we advise against red links in navboxes; there isn't really a policy against it, but per WP:EXISTING, red links that are not likely to become articles soon or that do not aid in navigating the topic area (and would therefore not be useful in representing existing gaps in knowledge) should be avoided. Sorry yes, I do plan to transfer over the sections on the main page into seperate pages of their own in order to ease the strain that that page is currently under, I just haven't had the time. I currently don't have any more cases to add to those pages though, so if someone else wishes to move the cases to their own page, they can feel free to do so. Content removal from List of unidentified decedents in the United States
[edit]Hi,
I've noticed after identifications have been made for the cases appearing on List of unidentified decedents in the United States and similar pages, you've removed the entries without adding them to List of formerly unidentified decedents. I'm not sure if you're aware of this page's existence, but it would be important to merge the entries of the previously-unidentified individuals to that page.
When you do this, be sure to add the following information in the edit summary box when removing entries:
Merged to [[list of formerly unidentified decedents]] following identification of individual.
When merging to the formerly unidentified list:
Merged content from [[list of unidentified murder victims in LOCATION HERE]]; see that page's history for attribution''
Thank you! --GouramiWatcherTalk 07:31, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Sorry about that, I am aware of the page's existence, I just thought that we were only moving certain cases there, such as the Sumter cases, rather than all of them. I've noticed that that page is starting to become particularly slow as well, I'm not immediately sure on how to remedy that though. Doggybag2355 (talk) 14:53, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Gacy unidentified victims
[edit]Hi. Sorry to contact you out of the blue. I note yourself and Killuminator have been actively updating and populating articles regarding unidentified decedents as well as the DNA Doe Project Wiki. page. I was just wondering if, given the DNA Doe Project's recent (and seemingly ongoing) success stories, you were planning on working to identify the remaining six unidentified victims of John Wayne Gacy? Efforts have been ongoing since 2011, but I imagine most if not all submitted public leads have by now been investigated and discounted. Regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 04:36, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello, unfortunately me and Killuminator are not affiliated with the DDP, we simply just document what they do as amateur sleuths, however if you do want the DDP to take on those cases, I'd suggest getting in contact with the corresponding agencies investigating the cases and refer them to the DDP. Doggybag2355 (talk) 21:13, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- No worries. Thanks. Just noted your ongoing collective work (kudos there) and thought you may be affiliated. From what I have read on some discussion forums, there seems to be reasonable public interest in resolving these cases. Regards,--Kieronoldham (talk) 02:14, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Doggybag2355. I was just wondering if there are any developments in the pipeline for the DNA Doe Project to take on one or more of the remaining five unidentified victims of John Gacy? I saw a video last October or November regarding the most recent identification where a spokesman said, in response to a press question, that the remaining cases would be submitted to the DDP on a piecemeal basis (or words to that effect). I know a potential sibling (or half-sibling?) of victim 28 has been identified. I know you are a sleuth as you mentioned last year to me; I was just curious if you were aware of any updates. Regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 01:59, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
Hey can you check out the talk page on this article?

[edit]The file File:LaSalle Jane Doe.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No article exists for the subject of this reconstruction, nor is there any evidence that I could find that this is actually from the FBI. Orphaned.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HouseBlastertalk 18:55, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
