How Hitler's Bodyguard Worked - World Media Rights program

Jonas: I have noted you like to cite this program and I wondered is it one episode in a series or a stand alone on this subject. I see this publisher offers what appears to be a series on Hitler and Nazi Germany. I would like to review the program on the "bodyguard" subject. Kierzek (talk) 18:08, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Kierzek, World Media Rights offers a wealth of educational content on modern history and its central figures (Churchill, Hitler etc.). It has a 13-episode series called "Hitler's Bodyguard". The very first episode of the series is called "How Hitler's Bodyguard Worked" which detailed talks about virtually all of Hitler's bodyguard units and how his bodyguard worked. All episodes after that are mostly about specific and known plots, like Wolf's Lair attempt. It came to my attention when I stumbled across it on YouTube. I see, however, that it has since been removed, but I liked it immediately and moved to quickly download it (hush hush) so I have a copy of it on my computer which I often watch. I could send you a copy of the file I have over email if you want to. Also, even though the episode in question has been removed, there is still some other full-length HQ episodes online (click here for "Early Attempts on Hitler's Life" episode, click here for "Kill the New Chancellor" episode, click here for "Night of the Long Knives" episode). Let me know what you decide. Cheers, Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 18:37, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes, that first one is the one I want to review. If you can send it, yeah. My email address is available through Wikipedia on my user page link on the tools section, maybe it will work; if not don't worry about it. Kierzek (talk) 18:45, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
"You must be logged in and have a valid authenticated email address in your preferences to send email to other users"??? I obviously have an email - how would I have a registered account if I didn't? Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 18:47, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
You have to look at your preferences section as to sending and getting emails. Kierzek (talk) 18:54, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Done. Now how do I get ur email? Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 19:02, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Go to my user name and click on the tools section (on side bar); see if it works. Kierzek (talk) 19:06, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Sent an email (I will be gone for about an hour now - gym time, but will send ASAP once I get back) Cheers, Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 19:09, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
I found out it is on Amazon Prime, so I will review it therein; thanks, Kierzek (talk) 20:02, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Sounds good; I'm sure you will find it to be very factually correct. Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 21:38, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
I have now viewed the program and overall it was good; following the works of: Felton, Mark. Guarding Hitler: The Secret World of the Führer and Hoffmann, Peter. Hitler's Personal Security: Protecting the Führer 1921-1945. As you see I did some tweaks after the viewing to two different articles where the program is cited. Kierzek (talk) 16:20, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
Sweet, nice to hear! Yes, I see you did some tweaks; cheers for that. Also, I have a video of the same length on the Waffen-SS as part of a series called "Gladiators of World War II" also made by World Media Rights. I'm thinking about citing it abundantly on the Waffen-SS wiki article soon when I'm going to expand and add some new sections. Let me know if you also wish to review that. Lastly, doesn't Robert Powell just have like... the greatest narrator voice of all time? :) Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 16:26, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Jonas: I worked on these two articles but they could use some more (including an info box for each), if you are interested. Cheers, Kierzek (talk) 18:32, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Kierzek, turns out that my real life friends are a bunch of fucking assholes who enjoy ditching me! Long story short, I'll have a lot of time to edit Wikipedia tonight, so of course I'll do my best to improve Schreck and Berchtold the same way I improved Heiden and Strasser. I'll ping you when I'm done. Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 19:24, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Kierzek, both Schreck and Berchtold are expanded/improved. I was hoping to get them both to GA-status, but have concluded Berchtold's article was too unsourced and needs more copyediting. I have, however, nominated Schreck's article for GA-status. Take a look and let me know what you think. I'm off to bed now. :) Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 23:28, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Ce and additions, done. Kierzek (talk) 17:00, 23 May 2015 (UTC)

Note: Jonas, see his comments in relation to GA review. Also, Jonas since you have made improvements to this article thus far, have a look at The Horst Wessel Song. I am sure you can copy edit over with cites, certain material thereto; it could use some work. Kierzek (talk) 17:35, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Kierzek, the song article looks like a 20-minute project; the "History" section would be very easy to cite and some of the lyrics sections could curbed. I'll get right on as soon as I'm done with Riefenstahl's article which I expect to be done with tonight (tomorrow at the latest). Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 17:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
No rush. Take your time on Riefenstahl. Kierzek (talk) 17:44, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Riefenstahl

hi Jonas, I saw your ping about Riefenstahl, but I would rather not edit the article until you bring your draft over into main space. That way I get proper attribution for any edits that I make. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:04, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa. As of right now, my improved version is already in the main space. I've also gone ahead and GA-nominated it under world history :) Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 22:15, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
I started a first run through of ce work. BTW, Jonas I have another big job for you to consider: Joachim von Ribbentrop, with Goebbels 65% of the way done, he is the last of the Nazi Germany leaders, which needs ce work and is badly in need of editing for concision. Think about it. Kierzek (talk) 00:55, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Kierzek, Ribbentrop's article seems to be nicely sourced (at least compared to Riefenstahl). I'll start improving his article later today and have it done some time this weekend. And thanks a bunch for your ce's on Riefenstahl. Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 12:12, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
I finished a "first ce run through" of Riefenstahl; see what you think. Maybe Diannaa will have time to run through it, as well. BTW, take your time on Ribbentrop and thanks for taking it on. Cheers, Kierzek (talk) 13:11, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
