Reverts are not minor edits

[edit]

You reverted my edit on Pagerank. Whether or not I agree with that, I don't think you should mark edits as minor when it is a nontrivial change. See Help:Minor_edit for guidelines. Han-Kwang 13:44, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marking the edit as minor seems to be incorrect. However, reverting the edit was correct because the changes in the article were wrong (and the article mentioned isn't a good resource). --Doc z 15:16, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PageRank Value used by Google. Integer or Floating Point?

[edit]

Regarding your edit. Please see following discussion at the [Article Talk Page]. Thanks, --roy<sac> Talk! .oOo. 09:07, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I answered on the discussion page: Talk:PageRank. --Doc z 11:23, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand your revert

[edit]

Why did you revert my edit to the PageRank page? I don't know a lot about PageRank at all, but I thought the information I added was valuable and correct. I don't understand your edit summary ("rev - RageRank and PageRank shown in the toolbar are mixed"). Are you saying that the toolbar does not always correctly display PageRank? Alright, that's fine (if it's true)... but how is that relevant to removing the information I put in about the PageRank scale? Dave Runger(t)(c) 22:11, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the change "with E taking on integer values between 1 and 10 (inclusive) and higher numbers indicating greater importance" because
  • is the element (page) ( don't take any value, it's the PageRank which takes different values)
  • even the PageRank is not an integer, but a floating-point number - just the value shown in the toolbar is an integer (it's related to the real PageRank by a logarithmic scale)
  • the range of the value shown in the toolbar is between 0 and 10 and it's already mentioned in the section Google Toolbar PageRank
--Doc z 22:41, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I really botched that up. I assumed you were correct based on the amount of work you've done on the PageRank page, but I wanted to know what my error was. Appreciatively, Dave Runger(t)(c) 02:28, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page ranking

[edit]

And I could not understand why u delete my Page ranking page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dimitar petrov (talkcontribs) 09:02, 8 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The reasons are
  • Copyright violation
  • Spam
  • Duplicate content (PageRank is the correct topic)

[edit]

Hi, I removed your external link from PageRank. Please discuss on the talk page and gain consensus before re-adding. Thanks. Jehochman Talk 09:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

pagerank opensearch plugin

[edit]

Why did you undo my edit about the the pagerank opensearch plugin on PageRank ?

--84.195.241.5 (talk) 22:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:External Links - there are numerous scripts displaying the toolbar PageRank, but I wouldn't add external links for them. --Doc z (talk) 08:52, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
