Anthony J. Resta is an American record producer and a multi-instrumentalist musician. He is known for his innovative recording techniques and his use of vintage audio gear in creating expansive sonic atmospheres. With work in both the record and film industries, Resta has earned twelve RIAA certified gold and multi-platinum awards for albums and soundtracks. .

Resta has worked with artists including Duran Duran, Shawn Mullins, Collective Soul, Elton John, Needtobreathe, Guster, Megadeth, Perry Farrell, Nuno Bettencourt, Andrea Surova, Dale Bozzio, TV Mania, Missing Persons, Del Marquis of the Scissor Sisters, Green River Ordinance, Sarah Evans, Blondie, and John Cate & The van Gogh Brothers, as well as having worked on the soundtracks to the movies, Scream 3 and Twilight among others.

The owner of Studio Bopnique Musique, Resta has played instruments including drums and percussion, guitar, keyboards, and flute in addition to producing, programming and mixing on artists' recordings. Resta is also a member of the composers' collective, ELECTRONS, that includes Warren Cuccurullo, Eric Alexandrakis, Steve Ferrone, and Roger O'Donnell.

After signing on with Kathy Anaya of Lippman Entertainment, a firm that manages not only recording artists but also record producers, in Los Angeles in 1994, he began attracting more high profile clients.

His first solo album called Demos of Saturn, originally released in the mid-1990s under the name Ajax Ray-O-Vaque, quickly sold out its initial production run and was only intermittently available on Ebay until its release on iTunes in 2009.

Anthony currently works with engineer Karyadi Sutedja at studio Bopnique Musique in an old textile mill just west of Boston. The 4,000-square-foot (370 m2) studio is chock full of vintage gear from the fifties, sixties, and seventies, as well as high end modern recording gear.

Anthony received his twelfth RIAA Gold and Platinum certification for his programming and production work in the soundtrack of the successful Twilight film.

In 2010, Resta joined a collaborative project with composer and musician Eric Alexandrakis, Warren Cuccurullo, and Steve Ferrone. Explaining the purpose of that project in a September 2010 Modern Drummer news release Alexandrakis said, “The four of us decided to create a scoring collective to pursue scoring projects in TV themes, film, and advertising…” [14] [15]
