This article is general in nature, covering miscellaneous aspects of storage virtualization and OS virtualization. However, there are only 2 incoming links regarding network virtualization and storage virtualization. Web searches show very few references, and those references are for drastically different types of products. There doesn't seem to be any industry consensus on exactly what constitutes a Virtualization Engine. The topic of virtualization is covered in-depth elsewhere.
