Filter 1325
[edit]You should probably use equals_to_any(page_namespace, 0, 118)
as page_namespace == 0 | 118
does not work, and I would recommend, on line 2, to use added_lines instead of new_wikitext. Thanks, Codename Noreste 🤔 Talk 00:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Codename Noreste! Thank you; I already figured out (but didn't yet save) the latter. First time trying to make a filter. charlotte 👸♥ 00:27, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- And BTW, if you add
!("confirmed" in user_groups)
on the first or second line of the filter, it will only target non-autoconfirmed users. Right now, it targets ALL users regardless of their user group status. Thank you. Codename Noreste 🤔 Talk 00:47, 18 November 2024 (UTC)- Done for non-extendedconfirmed/sysop/bot, I've seen some come from confirmed users but none from XCONs. charlotte 👸♥ 00:53, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- In addition to writing comments in the filters, there is one useful script, which is User:Suffusion of Yellow/filterNotes. You can read the documentation, and you can add any comment you wish, but without your name/signature as the script will automatically add it for you when you click

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Thanks for protecting that--turns out it was a longtime customer; see User:Piermark. Take care, and congrats on getting the bit, Drmies (talk) 15:08, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Drmies, didn't realize they were a frequent flyer. charlotte 👸♥📱 22:02, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yep. The accounts are all globally locked, and one of the entries made the link. I didn't know socialisms were part of their game also. Frequently they return to their earlier vomit, and if that happens longer protection may be warranted, but who knows. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 22:04, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Charles J. M. Gwinn
[edit]On 24 November 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Charles J. M. Gwinn, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Charles J. M. Gwinn (pictured) was the first state's attorney of Baltimore elected under the Maryland Constitution of 1851, which he had helped to draft? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Charles J. M. Gwinn. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Charles J. M. Gwinn), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
