Ohio

[edit]

Hi! I responded to your edit request at Ohio. I figured I'd come leave you a more detailed note here since you appear to be new to Wikipedia. Whenever an editor wants to add something to Wikipedia, in general, it's the responsibility of that editor to actually write the details and provide the necessary sources. This is true even when you're asking for the request via the "Edit semi-protected" template, as you did at Ohio. The only real difference between that and just directly editing the article is that, because the article is protected (most likely due to past vandalism), only autoconfirmed editors (those who've made 10 or more edits and been here over 4 days) can edit the article. It looks like you've been doing some edits at other pages, so in a few days you'll actually be able to edit the Ohio article directly. Up above, in the templated welcome message I left you are some pages that may help you learn more about Wikipedia and editing articles. If you ever have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Again, welcome to Wikipedia! Qwyrxian (talk) 14:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Akron article

[edit]

I've noticed you've tried to add info into the Akron article about the creationist museum in Copley, but it's been reverted twice. Wikipedia city articles are generally restricted by the physical city boundaries, so mentioning the museum in the Copley Township article and even the Akron metropolitan area article would be appropriate, but not the Akron article since the museum is not actually in Akron. --JonRidinger (talk) 22:50, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
