Adipic acid image
[edit]Hi Dima Minyailo. I have reverted your addition of an image of a sample of adipic acid to the article. Readers have no way to verify that the picture is as you state: and it seems that it was a material you made yourself, rather than something you purchased from a reputable supplier. It can be useful to have pictures of samples and we have guidelines at WP:Manual_of_Style/Chemistry#Sample_images for what is acceptable. My own view is that a picture such as the one for methylcobalamin is the most useful type and we should never show an unlabelled image of a pile of white powder, if only because it is poor practice for chemists to store samples in unlabelled bottles! If you wish to contest my deletion, please open a thread on the Talk Page of the article so that others can comment. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:29, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! I haven't deeply thought about adding the picture, just tried to improve the article the way I can. The thread has been opened Dima Minyailo (talk) 18:40, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
