No one considers that making a few edits to an article that was promoted is "helping to promote" that article, especially if that edits are minor or vandalism reversion. With due respect, this part of the argument seems a bit demagogic. Nonetheless, I agree that not helping to promote articles to featured status should never be a reason to be opposed in a RfA.
