Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi DigitalChutney. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! — Newslinger talk 17:06, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Miscommunication

[edit]

Dear DigitalChutney,

I just read your terms, about self promotion, and please know I had no intention of doing that in citing that I am an artist. You are welcome to remove that, I just want to be connected to my great aunt Susan Eisenhower, as we’ve spent a lot of time together through this pandemic, and it’s made me miss all of the years that we’ve missed. Please edit the information I submitted to your liking, but please allow me to be linked to aunt Susan. Thank you, kindly. Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 17:32, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Melissa Eisenhower Muraco: I think that it was @Ifnord: who added the information regarding your conflict of interest. I undid your revision to Susan Eisenhower because you did not provide a reference to support the inclusion of your contributions. While I understand that your contributions were made in good faith I did not believe that they met the requirements for inclusion within the article. Thanks, DigitalChutney (talk) 17:57, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Do I need to contact Susan Eisenhower to give the green light for me to be listed as her great great niece on a Wikipedia page?! Do I need to offer you a blood sample?! Do you honestly think I’m going to call Aunt Susan and ask her to call Wikipedia!?!? Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:23, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Would you like me to spend days gathering family photos of the former President, and me and Susan so you can facial recognition us and deem that yes, I am an Eisenhower!?! Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:25, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Do you honestly think someone is just sitting around, bored, and comes up with the idea of 🤔, I have absolutely nothing better to do than to gather tons of documents, “whichever and how many Wikipedia needs, in order to confirm/“convince” them of my identity “?!? Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:28, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am not disputing that you are the article subject’s niece, merely the fact of whether it is notable enough to be included within that article. I would suggest that you use the conflict of interest edit request process if you wish to add the information as it will help to ensure that the additions comply with COI guidelines and are acceptable to be included within the encyclopaedia. Thank you, DigitalChutney (talk) 18:35, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is honestly so stupid. You want to know why I’m hostile right now? Because I am an Eisenhower, great niece to the granddaughter of Dwight Eisenhower. And I would like to be listed as so. And you didn’t even specify what ‘documents’ or ‘links’ to provide for me to be named as Susan’s great niece. Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:32, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Which, I don’t care now, to go through this. She asked me to do it, but apparently! Your robots think that a person is making up that I’m an Eisenhower!?! Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:36, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Like, I have nothing better to do than randomly do that Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:36, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sarcasm Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:37, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So what ‘documentation’ do you need!?! Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:37, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Just so I can be in my great aunt’s Wikipedia page!?! Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:38, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, thank you. Melissa Eisenhower Muraco (talk) 18:43, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I was pinged here, so I'll leave a brief message that I will reply in detail on Melissa Eisenhower Muraco's talk page as I don't want to take up real estate on another user's talk page. Ifnord (talk) 21:33, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Strictly Come Dancing Season 19

[edit]

It appears you have permission to edit the Strictly page unlike us mere mortals. The ratings data is wrong. The show has not been the no.1 & no.2 rated show across all UK channels as the page is reporting. Channel 4 data has not been reported by BARB for the past few weeks/months. They've now caught up and retroactively put Channel 4 data onto their site for the missing weeks. As a result, The Great British Bake Off has had a larger viewing figure than some Strictly episodes for several weeks. This was put on the Strictly talk page some time ago, but ignored. Perhaps you would like to make the corrections now? After all, surely accurate data is what wikipedia is supposed to be about and that's why the page has been locked?93.56.240.196 (talk) 17:16, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @93.56.240.196:, it would appear that Wii35 has now made these changes (diff), thanks, DigitalChutney (talk) 18:06, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Tools

[edit]

Hi, as you may know, that you have given me a link to a user script called 'edit protect helper'. I am in a fancy, that how you and many other users tend to know so many about user scripts, which and how to use them, and also lend helping hand to them. I am really in a trance with all the elders out here. Just cannot get the head or tail how you know so many things. I know that you have been Wikipedia for long, but still cannot understand. Many also have highly decorated talk and user pages, and I sometimes sit and ponder how all these designing is possible. But I want to clear all my doubts starting from you because, it was from you that I first learnt about user scripts. How the lord did you know about this user scripts, and please please I beg you, please tell me how I can also learn all about the useful user scripts, and know their usage. I thank you again, for all the help that you and other elder Wikipedians are providing me. Thanks a lot. Hope your day goes too well. Regards. Yours respectfully Itcouldbepossible (talk) 12:59, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Patrolling new pages

[edit]

Hello, DigitalChutney,

First, thank you for your work on Wikipedia. But I'd like to recommend that you spend your time patrolling pages put into main space rather than Draft space. Editors are allowed a lot of leeway in Draft space. We don't immediately delete blank pages in Draft space and editors can start a draft with just a sentence and no references and slowly work on it over months or even years. So, readers don't see pages in Draft space so unless it is an attack page, pure gibberish or a copyright violation, it is probably allowed to exist in Draft space, at least for six months. I have no problem with the draft pages you did tag, but I wanted to make this suggestion.

Thanks again for all of your contributions on the project! Liz Read! Talk! 22:33, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Liz, thank you for your message, I have been patrolling new drafts to try and gain some more experience with the deletion policy and notability after my request for to join WikiProject AfC was declined. I will only tag copyvio and attack drafts from now on, thanks again, DigitalChutney (talk) 22:42, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
