Albert Park

[edit]

Please do no go about changing 30ish articles without researching the subject. You might not like it, but the Albert Park circuit does lie ik the city of Port Phillip, not Melbourne. Please don’t change that back.Tvx1 10:49, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to misunderstand what the "City of Port Phillip" is. In Australia, local government areas are not equivalent to a "city" in the way that other countries define it. 'Port Phillip' is not a city. In Australian English nomenclature, the suburb of Albert Park would be seen as being in Melbourne. The Melbourne metropolitan area is a well defined concept. To insist that an area outside of Melbourne City Council is not in Melbourne is not "technically correct", but a misinterpretation of how places in Australia are administered and counter to common sense.
