Constructive edits

[edit]

Hi DiabloGuapo. You've asked about constructive edits and unconstructive edits. This is from a general information template; what really counts are the guidelines. One particularly important guidelines is that which deals with a Biography of Living Persons.

Anyone's sexuality is a usually a personal thing. Celebrities in particular are often the subject of conflicting rumours. Some might like to declare their status, and others prefer to be private. Personally, I have no idea and no particular interest in this; but the point is that if a comment on sexuality is included in a biography, whether they be polygamous, celibate, straight, gay, bi, or anything else, it needs to have both impeccable verifiable support (per verifiability) and also a clear justification and assurance that it is not merely intrusive.

Sorting out such issues is something that is discussed at the talk page of an article where you are considering making any additions. If an addition you make is reverted, the next step is either to reconsider, or if you still want to make the addition then proceed to the talk page of the article. The usual sequence is described in the BOLD, revert, discuss guideline.

Hope this helps! Duae Quartunciae (talk · cont) 01:28, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
