Welcome!
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Dfsibun, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process – at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}}

Please help me with... I feel Johnson Grammar School article is very broad. They have various branches, different principals, some branches are related to each other, some aren't. The topic becomes too complex when we try to involve all these information under one article. I tried creating a sandbox article (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Dfsibun/sandbox/Johnson_Grammar_School) and I still don't feel it's possible to include everything in this one article. Can you please give me suggestions regarding how to deal with this situation? Dfsibun (talk) 14:16, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- The main problem with the article is that it is based entirely on what JGS says about itself. You need to find independent sources.
- It's too early at this point to break the currently very short article into multiple articles. Add the material that can be sourced to the main article and, when the overall size gets to around 100K characters, it might make sense to split off separate articles. Some articles, in fact, are much larger than 100K and pressure to split them up because of mere size only comes at much larger sizes. Show us that there is actual encyclopedia-suitable material for the main article before proposing multiple articles. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 23:53, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Jmcgnh: Okay. Unfortunately, there's little to no independent information about JGS. So, does that mean the entire article is worthless and should be considered for deletion? Dfsibun (talk) 05:52, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I would call the article worthless. There's a protocol regarding deletion nominations called BEFORE; more effort at finding good sources seems like the proper next step. If, after a diligent search, you think there are no suitable references, you might consider deletion. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:53, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
