Notice

The file File:Goodyear High School Groundbreaking Ceremony.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Decorative use of non-free image being used in Goodyear High School#Planning and construction which fails WP:NFCC#1 (WP:FREER) and WP:NFCC#8 (WP:NFC#CS). A non-free group photo of the participants at a ground-breaking ceremony doesn't really need to be seen by readers of the article either to understand such a ceremony took place or that a number of people were in attendance. Whatever encylopedic value this photo might provide isn't significant enough that its ommission would be detrimental to the reader's understand of the two sentences about the ceremony in that particular section of the article, and the photo itself isn't the subject of any sourced critical commentary. If the copyright holder of this image (the school?) wants to release the photo under a free license that Wikipedia accepts, then for sure it can be used; there is, however, no valid justification for the non-free use of this image.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:39, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the image from the article. It's ready to be deleted. Dexcube (talk) 06:48, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
