Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Devatipan, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Two other details: First, you can sign your posts on discussion (non-article) pages by typing ~~~~. This produces a signature letting everyone else know who wrote the comment. Also, you may want to take note of the edit summary box that appears below the editing area: you can put a short description of your changes there. You may want to mark it as a minor edit if it's something like fixing a typo. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. -- stillnotelf is invisible 22:03, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been assigned the Ipblock-exempt flag

[edit]

Hi Devatipan. Unfortunately, I have had to place a rangeblock on one of the IP ranges that you use to edit. However, thanks to our marvelous new IP block exempt feature, I have flagged you as being able to edit through blocks on IPs that you use. So basically, you should notice absolutely no changes. Have fun editing. :) --Deskana (talk) 23:39, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
