Just to expand on this, their are two issues of concern when dealing with images of artwork. The first is the copyright on the photograph and as long as you are the owner and have released it under a compatible license that is fine. The second is the copyright on the artwork itself since the images are derivative works under applicable law there must either be some exception to copyright rule, or the artwork must itself be in the public domain or released under a compatible license. In general we only accept free content as defined here. So licenses that only permit display on Wikipedia are not sufficient.

It is unlikely that the artist is going to release the artwork under a compatible license as that would enable others to both create and sell both copies and derivative works without owing any royalties. So you will be limited to using only images from countries that have freedom of panorama for illustration. Please avoid violations of the copyright policy going forward, thank you. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:FD04:C134:F832:7AB (talk) 16:43, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

stop You have again added copyright material to Wikipedia despite being previously warned that this was innapropriate. In at least one previous case you were caught in a direct lie claiming an image was your own work. Continue to introduce copyvios and I will have no choice but to request you be blocked from editing until you can demonstrate an understanding and willingness to comply with our copyright policies. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:D0A8:BFFB:8481:168E (talk) 15:43, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
