A tag has been placed on Melissa Disney, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Baccyak4H (Yak!) 15:10, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:First article for guidance on how to proceed. Dlohcierekim 15:38, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping to build wikipedia. Please only put article content in the article page. Notes about editing the article should go to the talk page. Cheers, Dlohcierekim

IMDB will not be sufficient to establish notability. Nice start, but not considered a relaibel source. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 16:09, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What would be sufficent? How long do i have to find more info before it is removed? Demonza (talk) 16:11, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The place to start would be Google searches. Newspapers, books, web based reviews (not blogs or fan sites) generally fit the bill. Read WP:RS for a better idea. Also, simply copying and pasting from a source is not acceptable under WP:COPYVIO. Information must be rewritten from scratch to comply with the GFDL. Sites/sources connected with the subject can not establish notability, though they can source biographical data. The subject must meet Wikipedia:BIO#Entertainers and information must meet WP:BLP. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 16:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bold text

[edit]

For articles, the first appearance of the actual name of the article subject is generally bolded.

On talk pages you can bold text for emphasis, but it would be prudent to do so somewhat sparingly. If everything is emphasized, then nothing is emphasized, one might say. Further, too much bolding can come off like ALLCAPS, which is online style for shouting. I find italics better for most emphasis, and bold only for the highest level.
