I'm only adhering to confirmed facts and information that has been given by the filmmakers themselves, no more no less. Whether or not you think that accurate information is irritating does not concern me.Demented-P (talk) 22:21, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mandarin Can Still Be

[edit]

Shane Black is full of crap on considering the ripoff Mandarin (Guy Pearce) as the MCU's version because he did not use power rings and Extremis does not make the ripoff any better than the original version. But yes, Aldrich Killian was definately the true main villain since he was the one behind all the attacks in the third film but that does not mean he was the true Mandarin, yet. Haven't you forgotten about the official Mandarin, Trevor Slattery is still alive and haven't you forgotten what he said to Stark when they first met faced to faced? If he is still alive Marvel will very much reintroduce him in the future films and reconsider him the official Mandarin and if you keep defying me, well then, you obviously don't understand much about the character at all and one good reason that Killian could certainly not be the official leader of the Ten Rings is because he is certainly not Afghanistinian.MandarinVengeance (talk) 19:35, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm only adhering to facts and information confirmed by the filmmakers. Even Kevin Fiege was aware of the radical choice being made with the Mandarin yet he still approved it. Keep in mind that the MCU is separate from the original comics, and just like other forms of adaptation, they obviously decided to change their version of the Mandarin for whatever reasons they decided. That doesn't mean that it outright replaces the comic version, because the comic Mandarin still exists, it's just that the movie version is different. Whether or not you're happy with their decision, it doesn't change the fact that Black has gone out of his way to specifically point out that Guy Pearce's character is their take on the Mandarin in the MCU. Also if you must know, Drew Pearce confirmed that Killian only appropriated the Ten Rings symbol for his personal scheme and that the fate of the actual terrorist group is rendered unknown. If a new and more faithful Mandarin comes out in a new Iron Man film, I'm more than happy to change the info depending on what the filmmakers will say about it, but as it is right now, I'm sticking with the given info that has been provided. If you feel like you must really voice out your complaints, go to Marvel and Shane Black and tell it to them, otherwise stop posting misinformation on the articles because it just disrupts the flow of editing.Demented-P (talk) 22:24, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
