Amitabh Bachchan

[edit]

I have reverted your contribution to Amitabh Bachchan. Right now, I do not have the time to check but it seems familiar to me and thus it may previously have been removed from the article due to concerns raised on the talk page. If I am wrong then I apologise but this is a biography of a living person and we need to exercise particular care. Although it appeared to be reasonably sourced, some of the phrasing was odd - eg: "In 2011 Amitabh Bachchan found himself in the news for all the wrong reasons" - and it looked distinctly unbalanced. We also try to avoid allegations that turn out to be unfounded, however much they may have been reported at the time. I suggest that you discuss the material that you wish to add on the article talk page. Sorry if you think that I am being harsh but another few days' wait while discussions take place will not diminish the article in any significant manner. It is, after all, not a new revelation. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 17:15, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted you again and opened a discussion at Talk:Amitabh Bachchan. - Sitush (talk) 17:26, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Your recent editing history at Amitabh Bachchan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Stop it now, please. You have made exactly 10 edits elsewhere and then moved in to the semi-protected Amitabh Bachchan article with some controversial content that you have now reinstated three times despite being asked to discuss it. The pattern of your contributions is concerning, let alone the content itself. I shall revert you once more and please, please discuss your addition at Talk:Amitabh Bachchan. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 17:34, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
