Speedy deletion nomination of Dell Latitude 10 Tablet
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dell Latitude 10 Tablet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright material and conflict of interest
[edit]Please do not copy word for word from your blog or any others.
Also, you cannot add links from your blog to any articles. Your blog is unreliable and you have a conflict of interest. Bgwhite (talk) 07:41, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
Regarding the articles that i have written and its legitimacy
[edit]Please tell me in what way my work is unreliable and there is a conflict of interest ? I urge the Wikipedia community to give me a chance to prove my work and my articles are legit and can be verified.Deepankarbu (talk) 05:53, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- You copied word for word from your blog into the new article Dell Latitude 10 Tablet. This is a copyright violation. Unless there is written permission given by the the author, material cannot be copied to Wikipedia. This is the reason the Dell Latitude 10 article was deleted.
- A blog (per WP:BLOGS) is an unreliable references and cannot be used.
- When you have written in other established articles, you have copied from your blog [1] or inserted references to your blog [2] [3]. Just after you wrote to my talk page and this page, you again inserted a reference to your blog. [4]. This is self-promotion (per WP:SELFPROMOTE) and unreliable.
- Please stop adding references from your sites. Please stop doing original research (see Wikipedia:No original research). We are supposed to use independent, reliable references. Bgwhite (talk) 06:20, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sir i fully understand your point and do want to let you know how people perceive a blog !!! something as unreliable. I had contributed to the content called Design for micromax canvas HD A116 and the Acer Iconia B1 Tab review only was written by me. I have nothing to do with publicity of my website i dont believe in that instead i believe in giving the write information and condensed information thats all. Deepankarbu (talk) 06:31, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sir i am a blogger not only do i write articles on my blog www.coffeenighters.blogspot.com but also i have my own website www.coffeenighters.com i have a facebook, linkedin, google+ and twitter page with over 1000 views everyday. I contribute to Wikipedia as this is my passion something i want people to see and know the facts by simplifying it through point form. Regarding the Dell latitude 10 i will write another article but please dont delete it let me know how i can improve or is it perfect to keep it without deleting.
- thanks have a great day ! Deepankarbu (talk) 11:23 pm, Today (UTC−7)
- What you have done with your sites is impressive, but has no bearing here. Wikipedia is not a blog, Facebook, book or any other social site. We try to write what is verified in reliable sources and not one's own impressions. Please only add information that has referenced. See WP:SOURCES on what is a good and bad ref. Take time to read what I've given you. Explore other articles and policies. Try writing on something else besides technology. When I first started out, I wrote about where I lived. I won't and others won't (note other people have also removed your additions) remove what you have written if it is referenced. Try to be neutral. If you hate or love a product, don't write it that way... be neutral. If you don't, your contributions will be reverted.
- If you have questions, please ask. Wikipedia can be daunting for people. Wikipedia:Teahouse is a place for newbies to ask questions. Bgwhite (talk) 06:40, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- The point you have made on others deleting my references or articles can be brought to light as the other peers want to eliminate competition new budding tech thinkers with good writing skills and ideas who approach wiki to show their best and give their best in whatever they do not for the sake of publicity but for the sake of giving people an opportunity to read what they have written is always put down !!! the article on micromax HD A116 the link you posted here design, Hardware and Memory, Screen resolution and Battery, Operating system and Connectivity, Camera and Video recording have all been deleted as i have written this all why i may ask ? cause to eliminate the competition, to put down a good content !!! it is very sad to see these things happen. The complete acer iconia tab B1 tablet review was written by me i was neutral in my view i just gave information, information is neutral not biased, thoughts are biased sir !!! someone else took the credit. I have never copied any other websites content as products are released to the public every author gets a chance to write his own review that is what i did. Deepankarbu (talk) 06:52, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- You are taking this personally. This is not about you or your writing skills. This is not about the products. I wish I could say there isn't "competition" on Wikipedia, but everybody has an ego. But there isn't "competition" in the sense that others are out to get you.
- If a newspaper reporter for the Times of India or Dainik Jagran were copying what they wrote in the newspaper, I'd be saying the same thing to them as I am to you.
- We cannot copy word-for-word anything from any site unless written permission has been given.
- We cannot use unreliable references. While you are trying to be neutral and do your best on your blog, it still is unreliable by definition. This has nothing to do with you, it has to do with personal blogs being unreliable.
- We cannot add in references to our own sites. Period. Bgwhite (talk) 07:09, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- If a newspaper reporter for the Times of India or Dainik Jagran were copying what they wrote in the newspaper, I'd be saying the same thing to them as I am to you.
- ok i get it !!! looking forward for support from wiki team in the near future thanks Bgwhite Deepankarbu (talk) 07:59, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding inappropriate references/links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
Deepankarbu, you have to stop adding links to your blog. I've tried to explain the your blog is not reliable, as are most blogs. Also, you cannot go around self-promoting your blog.
Also, becareful not to copy-paste content from other sites. Bgwhite (talk) 02:16, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
